My f-150 antenna got stolen. When I bought a universal antenna it came with several size screws to fit into the car and then into the universal antenna. My guess is that that one wasn't the original one. And it has a universal screw in it. To get mine out. I had to get some spray stuff that was suppose to break the screw apart. Then with pliers. Twist the universal part out.

I used some channel locks and took it out. Still wouldnt go in, completely different size hole, pluss it doesnt have the hole in the bottom for the inner part of the antenna to go into.

if its like the rest of us the part that still in the spot where it goes comes out. it should just be a hole there and it should screw in.

I tried that but theres some kinda connection down in there keeping the antenna from going in there. I took that piece out of the base and there is a hole in it(new antenna doesnt have that in the base) which seems to keep it from threading or somethin. Idk ill just call am tomorrow.
