I bought a Shelby and felt the need to make it mine lol. Is anybody on this forums car stock?

I don't mean any disrespect by that statement. This is a good clean debate, the way they should all be in the forum.

The difference spent on a 3.7 to a 5.0 used for FI could bet a 5.0 too! That being said if u could choose i would love to own a 5.0 & I would love even more to own a shelby!

I would like a Shelby, don't get me wrong, but I would feel the need to leave it stock...

I spent 30k on my shelby with 3000 miles on it and them spent another $800 total for all of my mods and I have a 550 rwhp monster with forged internals (and mine came with the eibach pro plus suspension kit that I installed myself, the car however was stock)....how much did you spend on your 5.0? No offense but your statement was wrong

So you purchased a used car while I purchased a brand new one...you are talking completely different scenarios. Also further proves my point of how much loss in value the Shelby cars are unless you keep them for years and years and years.

But you said the difference in what you paid for yours and what I paid in mine would give you enough to mod the heck out of yours and beat me so I am still wondering how much did you pay for yours?

...I said the difference between a new Shelby and a new 5.0 which can be near 20K depending on options...I don't think I said you in particular but buying a new Shelby in general. Used cars become a whole different story.

20K can net you a full blown suspension, FI, roll cage, and much more.

I didn't realize we were talking used cars...I could have picked up a 2007 Shelby for 25K at the time or a 2004 Terminator for 24K if I had wanted...

What I don't understand is why all the hostility between everyone?

We are all Mustang lovers (or what are you doing on this site), so lets have some Mustang comradery.

Like how you always see motorcycle riders "wave" at each other as they pass.

Lets start something like that.
Head nods or light flashing or something.

Lets stop with the hate and bring on the love!

Heck yeah bro. Maybe SVT can come out with a Mustang copper head and garden snake model too. Or maybe the Mustang frog model. Hopping into a dealership near you.

It's human nature; some people are just like that. Some of it is competitiveness, some immaturity and some of it is just being an a-hole.

And lets not start that waving crap for Mustang owners! I already own motorcycles & a Jeep. My left arm is already tired. And then hearing all the whiners complaining online that "I waved at 6 people today & nobody waved back."

Ya I can't wait! Either it will be awesome and prices on older models will drop or it will flop and prices will go up for older cars, it's a dangerous waiting game

I have nothing against you not what you drive I like them all I have had v6 stangs 4.6L stangs a 2011 5.0 and my current gt500....my only argument was to say that for me a 3000 mile car and a 900 mile car are both pretty much brand new but I paid 30k and you probably paid 35-37k for yours... Granted yours is brand new and mine is "used".... if you were speaking only about the brand new 2013 model gt500 than I appologize because you can't find those for less than 65k anywhere "new" but to gt500s in general the difference in what your paying is not going to get you full suspension/ and forced induction and even if it does your car is a ticking time bomb at anything over 9 psi and that gets you to maybe 600 rwhp but that's with a lot of other supporting mods... The only way its really worth what your saying would be to do a build with forged internals and a new transmission and suspension and forced induction and at that price you would probably come close to the 70k mark and would have a car worth 30k blue book...I mean no disrespect I only try to state the facts..... By the way I love the 5.0s and when I pay off my gt500 will probably buy one as a dd but it is certainly not better than a gt500

Yes, I'd rather buy a slightly used car, now as for the GT500 price.

On cars.com under new cars, the first 10 or so are 57-60k for '13 500s
