What are camber bolts/plates?

Well I'm lowering my mustang and the say to buy these.... Okay but how do you use them and what do they do? I'm lowering about 1-1.5 inches on my 2001 gt.. I see the camber bolts aren't expensive but the plates are... What do I need??

You'll be fine using just the camber bolts. If you were going to lower 2.0 or more inches you start to need a lot of adjustment on camber/caster and toe adjustment and would need to buy the plates to adjust the front end properly.

They go on the bottom bolt of the strut assembly. The bolts have like a cam lobe on them and allow for -+1.75 deg of adjustment using the lobe angle of the bolt.

Take a look at this page and watch the video.
