Well right now I'm 16 and money's tight lol. That's why I said 10 years. And 500hp you have to do internals, tranny, rear end, and suspension. So that's a lot of money. I'm starting off soon with suspension because you can get into 12's with just suspension, gears and radials. It'll happen. Don't you wanna put a blower on yours too?!

Sorry if this is a noob question, but what are you guys referring to when you say "2V/4V?

The number of valves per cylinder have I'm pretty sure. The GTs are a 2v (16 valves) and the cobras are 4v's (32 valves).

Yes! That's what I want. It'll take me awhile being 16 and all but it's worth it. And being a pretty rare color I really don't wanna sell it.

You can't really compare the two. Off road the raptor will demolish the duramax. But if he's talking like towing the duramax might have it beat but that's about it lol.

The Raptor is made for off roading. Just a Chevy fan boy disappointed because Chevy doesn't make a Raptor competitor.

They did purchase a large stake in Cummins, but I read that they are only putting them in the f-650 and f-750 trucks. Hopefully they put them in the 250s and 350s

Once you bulletproof the 6.0L its a very nice engine, its a rocket compared to the 7.3L it replaced but I'll take the 7.3L anyday for reliability. The 6.4L... they are monsters with the Spartan tunes and then the new 6.7L is pretty good too. They've got nothing on Cummins though. Well the 7.3L is in the same league but it is a completely International built engine, not a hybrid International/Ford motor. There's a reason a 7.3L Excursion with 150k miles on it in great shape can still command upwards of $20k and be totally legit in wanting that much. They were THAT good.

I try... honestly the best combo you could ever ask for is a 12V Cummins with the killer dowl pin mod done put into a newer Super Duty/Excursion. There are plenty of kits out there to do this and resources and whatnot. There is at least one confirmed person with a million (yes a million) miles on a 12V Cummins over on the Cumminsforums. Lots of them over 500k.

Ugh, plz I don't want to be THAT guy... there are plenty of ppl who know more than me. I mean I have a great deal of mechanical knowledge from being a mechanic as my primary career and wrenching on cars on the side for a good majority of that time but if you want to be 100% sure I'd still ask a professional.

Scotty, the professionals could learn some things from u. Have u ever taken ur car to a dealer? These guys can't stick their finger in their a**. U take it back 3 or 4 times to get it right. Be proud brother. I think all the guys on the forum trust ur skills. That's an honor. U deserve it tho. Uve worked ur a** off to get that knowledge.

Lol when I said professional I meant a place like Fordstrokers or MHS or a legit speedshop owner. I'm just lucky I have so many shops/tuners/tracks around where I live in NJ. One of the only good things about this state. On top of the pollution, overcrowding, traffic, cost of living, now we can add killer hurricanes to the mix... yay...
