The sad thing is a nicely done KA motor will be more reliable than the SR, have way better street manners and be a solid 300whp motor. In a 2200lb RWD car that is no joke. Everyone wants the SR though and 90% of 240 owners are ******-canoes.

Lol, I'm in the military and I think flying a flag on your car is a bit over the top unless its a holiday or if you are in a parade or something... Its called Jingoism...

What if the flag flying is the rebel flag on a General Lee? It always looks good!

No? It was funny because he was flying Glory while he was drifting in a Japanese car...

I had some old guy ask me if my 1998 was new, I think I posted that here already. Old ppl get a pass for stuff like that. They do NOT get a pass for going really slow on the road and smelling like cabbage.

Ok so this literally happened about 30 min ago. A guy in a 03 stang camr in to my job. Mind you i loved how his car sounded makes me wanna get magnaflows like how he had.....back to topic. Me and a co worker were talking about who would win between him and my 96. I told him i may have more on him due to pi and all. Well the other co worker decided to open his big mouth and say hey u wanna run it against his mustang. The ne owner said sure but that his wasnt a stock motor. I asked what u got he said i got the 32v with lts and tb upgraded to 80 mm and a plenum spacer and blah blah blah. So me being a mechanic i called him out on it i said if u got it show it off for a sec even 4v id still go race him. He was hesitant but popped the hood. And low and behold its a 2v with tfs plenum bbk cai stock headers and o/r h pipe to mangnaflow exhaust. I facepalmed my self mentally and said im sorry u got a 2 valve. Proceeded to show him mine and well long story short i schooled him on his own car. -_- only thing true he said he had was the magnaflows smh. I felt bad for the kid and he let me test drive his. Then he sat in mine. Lets just say he knew who would win that race lol.

Lol yeah sounds like in that story the guy was lying but there are some ppl who get taken for a ride by a salesman/private seller and don't find out until someone else points out to them what they really have. I once exposed a Fobra to the guy driving it who legit thought it was a real Cobra. "I bought it as a Cobra". It had snake emblems and a Cobra intake and Cobra brakes but incorrect wing, incorrect valve covers, incorrect brake booster, incorrect airbag, incorrect wing and most importantly, no D in the VIN in the 8th spot. This was a 5.0 Fobra obviously.

I'm still not sure he actually believed me. Easier to bury your head in the sand I guess...

Amen to that. I had a coworker tell me all about his dad's ford lightning with upgraded blower and totally rebuilt forged motor upgraded pullies. So I'm like cool bro. Well one day he brought it up there to work and I'm like I wanna see the beast of a motor. He pops the hood and there isn't so much as a CAI much less a upgraded blower or pullies. I just let him have his glory lol.

Just remember it is YOUR responsibility to know exactly what it is your are buying. I didn't feel bad for that guy at all, completely his fault that he got taken and a simple Google search on 94/95 Cobras and joining a forum for a single day and he would have probably been able to figure out that it was a fake. I've seen some pretty good Fobras, there was a "Termi" that was originally a V6 and that dude swapped everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Luckily someone else bought it and used it as a donor car for his mint 2001 Bullitt 4V swap.

There was a pro charged sixer in a mustang magazine last year that ran low 11s or high 10s, i cant remember. Of course he put a crap ton of money in it. I've never been a fan of six cylinder muscle cars, but some are pretty quick out there. I just hate that 3 out of 5 six cyl mustang or camaro has to floor it when they're next to me at a stop light. My license plate says I'm slow, so why even try? Lol my ego is in check, I never attempt to out do someone else. When I'm at the drag strip all I think of is me and my car and try to beat my best times.

These new sixer mustangs are just about as fast or faster than the last gen v8 right? At least pretty close.

The same thing happens to me every car and most trucks even when I'm stopped burn out or rev their engines while passing my car. I never "play" with anyone unless they pose a challenge witch most that do I rarely see out cuz of the same reason people rarely see mine it's a toy and garage kept always.

Ya same here. Mines rarely out of the garage. 2 years and it has 2363 miles as of this morning,...took it for a stroll to breakfast with the wife. I tow it to the track and do 2-3 passes but rarely drive it on the street.
