Over Qualified means they'd have to pay you more than they want to pay for a job position. Its whats happening to a lot of people with 10-20 years in a career field who lost their jobs and can't find work because they require too much salary. Also there is the issue that they/you will legit know more than the boss hiring you and he's looking to protect his ***.

I work for the Gov't... well the USAF to be precise. We have our share of smart ppl and complete dip****s. Actually kicking a kid out for failing 4 PT tests in a row. Fat and slow and lazy and the military do not mix well...

And to get this thread back on topic somewhat... you will not see a crazier assortment of cars than on a military base. Also the junior enlisted dorms are easy to spot from all the rice and idiotic laughable "mods" on the cars there. V6 stangs with altezzas, clamp on tips and neon, Hondas with the obligatory non painted ground effects and stick on wing, $8k rims (yes $8K) on a $2k car, $6k lift kit on a truck that looked like it was going to fall apart from rust etc...

There are a LOT of nice cars though. At my work I regularly park next to multiple 5.0s, a nice clean 03 Mach, a Termi, some tasetfully modded Chargers/Magnums (gasp!), lifted Powerstrokes and the obligatory Chief/Major Corvette.

Yeah "characters" is putting it lightly. We had a kid come in today almost literally crying because he wanted to go to night shift on the new schedule so he "didn't have to wake up to an alarm clock anymore". His supervisor left him on days out of spite at that point... I'm serious I mean I'm sure every generation has their fair share of idiots but I know if I did that 11 years ago I would have been given a mop and bucket and been doing 12 hour shifts 6 days a week for a month cleaning... Welcome to life kid...

One thing I DO find though is that a lot of military guys know their cars, like a much higher proportion than in normal life. That might also be because we're all mechanics and after pulling apart a 40,000 lb thrust turbofan, doing a pair of brakes doesn't seem like anything haha. You should see the brakes I change at work ha.

Wow, looking for a google pic of the brakes, found an article with a pic and everything of an actual mission I did last year. Well, I was on the crew that took these guys in anyway. We were parked right next to this plane and it was pretty crazy to see a 300,000lb aircraft sitting on its rims...

8th EAMS Airmen save aircraft from enemy mortars

It wasn't so much of a hard landing as the pilot completely ****ed up and slammed on the brakes early. Melted 8 brake lines and blew the overtemp plugs out of 10 tires. Only thing I will say in his defence is the runway is 90 ft wide, humps up like crazy and is a complete piece of ****...

Ummm... She can't be a navy SEAL. Women are not legally allowed (at this time) to be SEALs

If she wants to even be considered for a special forces type job she had better be able to out lift, out swim, out run and out fight everyone she knows by a LOT just as a start, even before going to boot camp/basic training.

If she's joining because she wants to kill terrorists (Murica!) she should go to college, get ROTC to pay for it and then become a fighter/bomber/chopper pilot.

When I was leaving work I heard a Honda before I seen it. I was standing by mine & another mustang when he passed by. I guess he didn't want any lol cause when he passed he didn't even look my way and wasn't revving it like I heard before he came around the corner.
