Don't forget that you can't register a super snake for the road either.

Super Snakes are not legal for the street. They don't have a VIN# so you can not register them with the DMV.

If you want some good paddle shifters get a GTR, it will shift faster than you can blink.
I dream of a day where a car can somehow have both a DCT and a stick shift. Use the DCT when you just want to blow the doors off of somebody in a straight line, use the stick when you wanna have fun on curvy roads. A guy can dream can't he?

Transmission would not matter so much as your suspension setup. You can set your car up to be fast in a straight line or fast in the corners regardless of your trans. Obviously a manual will be faster in the corners and an auto in a straight line as far as transmissions go but its not the only factor. Have a car setup to be pretty good at both and you'll lose at both.

As far as a manually shifting auto. I'm doing that this winter and looking forward to it.

True, but a DCT is way faster than a stick. I just love the feeling of moving the gear selector around, pushing the clutch in and out... I drove a 2010 M3 one time and while it's an amazing car, it's just not as fun to pull a paddle and let the computer shift in half a blink of an eye.

I know it wouldn't be technically feasible, but like I said I can dream lol

Take a ride in a big power stalled drag car and see if you still think its not fun. I got converted after going for a ride in a stalled HCI LSX Vette after being the biggest manual trans nutswinger you'd ever have met. I'm not saying its for everyone but its definitely just as much fun as a stick at least to me to be able to bump the shifter and have your neck snapped back as the car instantly shifts gears at 7k RPM.

It depends for what you use it. A lot of race car drivers, still opt for stick shift seeing as you can skip gears and so on where as paddle shifting forces you to cycle through. They are generally fast cars when the transmission is good too, but for most people , the sticks still rule the race tracks. Assuming, we're not talking about formula ones and the like lol

Agreed there is a reason that road racers almost all still use stick shifts. Run it up to 160mph in the straightaway and then heel/toe down for the corner, rev match and bury your foot in the floor again on the way out. Can't do that with any auto and this is where the stick shift will always shine.

An older fellow, maybe 60-65 came up to me today while i was wearing my Shelby Automotive Hoodie. He approaches, points at me and says, "Michigan." I was like, pardon? He says, "You're from Shelby Michigan! I've got a place up there!"
Actually, it's Shelby Automotive, the Automotive company. I picked this up at their Factory in Las Vegas about a month ago. "oh." And we walked our separate ways. Awkwarrrrrd.

They could make it so the clutch and shifter are electronic, but act the same as they do now. Not exactly the same, but close.

I was looking at a procharged mustang and I said thats a nice supercharged stang and he said actually thats a turbo I said not its a supercharger. He was like what are you looking at that is a turbo. I said it says procharger right here look up procharger and see if its a turbo. Hate when people argue and are incorrect lol.
