This is the time when you mention to your vendor that you thought it was required for Camarobird drivers to grow mullets.

Haha agreed. They respond so damn well to mods. There's a huge battle here in town that's been going on between the 4.6 and LS1 crowd since I was in high school.

Dollar for dollar you can't beat a LS1 F body, period, end of story. There is no debate to this. You can pick up a LS1 Camaro in good shape for $8k-$10k if you look, do some bolt ons and cam with a tune and be at 400whp. Not going to get that out of a 4.6L unless you have a Terminator and you aren't getting one for that price... or half that price if you want a nicer one.

Now... Mustang vs Camaro is an entirley different story. Both have pros and cons, I never really dug the Camarobirds except maybe the WS6 Trans Ams and then I'd really only want one in white with a black interior.

Agreed again. There's a ton of LS1 guys running around here with 400+hp, most of them run straight pipes too. There's also a lot of Cobras and new edge GTs pushing close to that with their 4.6s. The only saving grace we have is the one new edge turbo'd Bullitt in town that's putting all the Camarobirds in their place.

Eh, yeah all depends on how much you spend. NOTE: that Boss is limited to around 800whp if he's running the stock rotating assmbly. With that said, its an 800whp street car lol. There are LSwhatevers out there that hit this number more routinely than a lot of ppl think though. And there is also the fact that at those power levels the whole package of the car comes into play as far as getting the power down to the ground.

Although, getting back on topic, today one of my supervisors saw the pic of my Mustang with the new rims that is my desktop background right now and goes "oh you have one of the ugly years"

But then I find out he's modding a V6 with his son. I told him "oh I thought you bought the V6 for your daughter"

It's not really a stupid thing people say, it's just weird.... I will tell someone I have a Mustang and say I just got more parts for it. They then say "ahh, you souping it up??" I guess so lol. Just sounds weird to me. I like the term modifying lol

Oh no, the motor itself is physically huge, it just doesn't have a lot of displacement lol. Which is why I bought a Teksid block when one popped up for sale locally with low mileage and an OEM Forged Cobra crank lol.

Whats the stupidest thing someone said about your car?

No one actually ever said it, but I think the stupidest thing would be, "Can I drive it?"

I've gotten that. Some guy in my dorm wanted me to drive him somewhere, I was busy though so then he asked if he could take my car to the bank.... Keep in mind he is the dorm stoner. I was just like "No one drives my car".

Back when I was in high school, a kid there had a mint '73 Charger. A couple kids asked him if they could go out and party in his car. He gave them the keys. The guys decided to take off with the car while they were stoned and ended up wrapping it around a pole. Not good. Tough lesson learned.

I was at a party with a friend. I was waaayyy too drunk to do anything and was using a muffler for a pillow. He asked me if he could borrow my car to run to the gas station and get muchies and I mumbled something intelligible. This was when I had my 400+hp 85 Z28. He took the keys and left. When he got back, I was somewhat coherent and heard him bragging about all the donuts he did in a huge empty parking lot, and how he floored it down one of the main streets.

No one has driven any of my cars since then...well, except my Jetta, but that doesn't count.

This wasn't about my car but made me cringe thinking about it. Guy I knew in high school got a red GT convertible. 96-98. I'm pretty sure it's bone stock minus the chrome cobra r wheels. If this thing had anything maybe an exhaust. Today I seen him and attempted to catch up a little. He proceeds to tell me that his GT is a dohc & that mine is too but his has a BBK exhaust(couldn't tell me what), msd ignition(didn't specify), & heads(also not specified). Maybe some other bull**** I can't remember. But he asks me how fast my car runs and I say idk then tells me his car will run 170 - 180. ****in imbecile.

The sag in your front door is a $5 pin kit. You remove the door, sawzall/cutoff wheel the pin in there, remove and install the new pin/bushings which are held in place with a cotter key.

For the front brake its whatever the cost of a bearing is (probably $70 or so) and a size 36 socket and you need a torque wrench capable of hitting 220 if I remember right. Anyway, remove the wheel/caliper/bracket/rotor. Remove dust cover from bearing nut, remove nut, bearing slides off, install in reverse order and torque to spec. Literally a 15-30 minute job as long as the goddamn rotor is not stuck on the hub.

Uhmmm. The GM Dealer showed me a "Gold Servicd" Brochure that read "$500.oo to check fluid levels" on my H2. Sarcastically I said "And you'll top them off if they're low o_O". He gave me a very suprised look and replied "No, that's just to read the engine and tranny dipsticks"

They're full of ****. The stock pin is pressed in and you have to cut it out, maybe drill out the end piece but after that its a simple bushing/pin/cotter key. And you can buy the hinges anywhere if you do just want to do the hinges and DIY that too with a friend. All you need is a ratchet.
