gas mileage

My stock (not for much longer) auto 13 GT has been getting 16-21 city, 20-23 combined, and 22-27 highway. I have about 3,900 miles on it.

Last road trip, 179.6 miles 5.3 gallons used. You do the math. Don't be jealous, its not my fault that the newer Mustangs get half what I do.

Who Fills up their Tank

First of all, The more you fill up, The more your car drinks,
Because of the WEIGHT

A gallon of gas weighs 6 lbs
multiply that times 16

Thats 96 lbs added to the total car weight

If your smart you'll put only HALF that amount
and actually SAVE Gas plus you will notice a HUGE Seat in the pants feel
because of the 50lb weight difference and handles much better

I filled up my tank once and thought I was driving a Bus
These mustangs need less weight to perform and handle correctly

Not More

For those of you that don't know much about setting up a good combination, I'll give you a quick lesson. The heart of the combination is the cam, figure out what you want you car to do and select you cam accordingly. From there its simple build to match you cam. When it come to gas mileage, this simple fact can save you tons at the pump. You get your best MPG at peak torque. If you know how to build and tune your car anything is possible.

I'm getting around 250 a tank in my 12 GT. I drive pretty mixed and per gallon average has been staying consistent at 18.
