O/T 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII

I'm going to look at a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII tomorrow. It has the Cobra engine and an AT transmission. Owner tells me it runs great 108,000 miles but the front air suspension leaks. If it is just a leak is this an expensive fix? He says you can convert to shocks/struts for about $400.00. It also needs paint. New tires. He's asking $2500 Obo. I'm already thinking no more than $2000. Figuring ill need another $1200 for paint a couple hundred to fix the suspension. Any other thoughts or ideas. To me sounds like a cheap Marauder to me. A nice DD while my Cobra is sunny days only. Thanks for any feedback. Spiney-Dave

I had a 98 Mark 8. Is it an LSC? How bad is the leak in the air bags? I would be weary of the transmission. I had to buy a new one around 110k miles.
