Modifying your Mustang

I've always wanted to do a restoration project on a 68 or 69 Mustang. Preferably a '69 Mach 1. But it got me thinking. With this S197 generation Mustang, I think 20-30 years from now, they will be just as popular project cars as the '60's Stangs, since the styling and design is a throwback to those generations. Granted, nothing beats the original design.

But it got me thinking. We all like to mod our cars with aftermarket parts etc. Which is fun, I enjoy it. But with every mod that isn't Ford, Roush or Shelby backed, will only deteriorate the value. So if our goal is to keep our mustang to pass down or what have you, it would only drive the value up to keep the car as original as possible. Wouldn't it?

I mean I had thought about a Roush grille, RTR spoiler and eventually performance mods, probably still will, but sometimes I think keeping the car in original form would benefit the next generation. Idk, just something to think about. Thoughts?

Get a mach 1 because in 20-30 years the value will rise more than what the sn97s will be look at the foxes they are about 20 years old and I can pick one up for less than 2k

Oh I plan on finding one to restore, hopefully. I just wonder if our current gen Mustangs will ever net that kind of popularity 30yrs from now.

If you are not smart enough to make your own thread in the proper section of an online forum that is your own idiot fault...sorry... I'm not sure how you don't know any better unless you are 15 and have never used a forum before... anyhootersville...

OP, get whatever YOU like and whatever YOU think you'll be keeping for awhile. If you are dead set on a collector vehicle narrow your search to Cobra/ Bullitt/Mach or maybe one of the rarer foxes like the 7up model.

Again, all depends what you want to do but I will tell you from experience, these cars are not worth more than KBB right now and will not be for decades, even the older 5.0 Cobras aren't. So like I said, get whatever you like the best and just go with it. If you are trying to make money, this is not the right place to be...

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
