Sooo ive got a good bit of $ ive been saving for awhile. And want to either add f/i on my 02 gt with 36k on it or buy a termi.
But I've been saving also to try and buy a house with the fiancé...shes also been saving $ and said her grandma will give us a few thousand for a wedding present for our house.
Which would you go for if you were in my shoes?
There's a 03 cobra for sale in my area with about 27300 miles and asking 24k.
Thanks for any input.
I just dont want to s/c the 2v and spend a ton forging when i want more power and the value not be worth it as would be the svt.

Buying a home will be the biggest financial commitment you will make in your life. With low interest rates on 30 yr mortgage, now is a time to buy. If you're set on a particular house and price is right, I'd say go for the house.
Homeownership is an accomplishment that you can take pride in. Good Luck on your search.

+1. Plus i dont wanna sound like a whimp or anything here, but if your fiancé has also been saving with the intent on buying a home, it would be a pretty dick move to go out and blow your portion on a new car. Im sure she wouldn't be to happy about it either. Man i sound like such a puss lol...... On second thought, get the cobra hahaha jk. You know what they say man.... Happy wife, happy life.

if you are going to buy a house soon honestly save up 20% down so you can avoid PMI (insurance crap you have to pay EVERY month) and with that cash saved you can quickly save up and get a car, much harder to pay down on a house after the fact, saves you more in the long run by FAR.

Buying the house is the financially smart move like everyone said.. I bought a house 1st and it just delayed my Mustang purchase 1 year so it wasn't too bad..

If you can buy a house in a neighborhood still under construction because they are a much better value at that time. Along with the lower housing prices, you will have an excellent profit margin when the time comes to sell.

Oh definitely the house...especially since your fiance has been saving too. You don't want hard feelings because she's doing all the house saving!

Yeah man already started the process lol. Lost my 8k of savings . For a down payment on some land and now the other decision is wait a few months and merge the land loan with a loan for the building process, or use the fiancés 7k down payment now and fuse them together.
Decisions decisions lol

Bro. Pretty much just went through the same thing. I had money I was saving up for stuff for my car. And then she wanted to build. So we buy land then build then as soon as the house is built. Our wedding is 2 weeks later. I lost a lot of mod money. ALOT. But all worth it. Especially if its your first home. And it's great to have a place to park your car and the feeling of owning your own stuff. By the way. Been married for 2 months now. And just bought suspension. So you'll build your money back up brother.
