What was the dealerships reason for not wanting to cover this issue?

No reason it shouldn't be handled by the dealership if its still on warranty. Hell I had a 98 Jeep in 99 and the rear end let go. They replaced it with a posi unit for $150, never had trouble again.

Alright then unless you admitted drag racing or abuse then yes call Ford direct. Sounds like the synchros went out and ground the gear. Clutch is fine? No make them prove it.

Abuse? There are guys on here that drag the sh*t out of there cars and never have gear issues.

So honestly, we need to know how the conversation went at the dealership.

All they said was that second gear was wore stripped down and Warranty doesn't cover that Consider it abuse and it will be 1900 to fixes

I agree with Midnight 2012 on this one, fight this till the bitter end! 1900 dollars is nuts. I would say get a second opinion but that would mean they would need to tear down the tranny again.

I feel like we might be missing some details here because I can't imagine them just coming straight out and saying that. Especially considering you have like 7600 miles on the car.

There's no way you should have left there without a fight.

What exactly was said? Did they ask you about your driving style or anything? Did you mention you drive hard?

Before they tore down the transmission he called me and asked me if there was any modifications done to the car And I said no the only thing that's been done to the car is just The exhaust

Arturo, something does not seem right. Is there evidence of extreme tire wear or any other circumstances that would lead them to believe you have been abusing the vehicle?

It seems unreasonable that they would summarily refuse to warranty your transmission with few miles.

There's more to this. But, if you feel you have not been beating the snot out of the car, call Ford.

If this is truly the whole story, then you need to get your boxing gloves on.

They can't base warranty work upon speculation of how they think someone drives.

Either way, I would fight it. The fact of whether or not it's from abuse, really is not my thought. I'm thinkin that with that few miles, how much abuse could have been done?

Have u talked to ford again?

On July 2nd, at 07:34 PM, You (arturo55) posted in response to SigStang, No mods still stock I haven't change anything

On July 3rd, at 07:35 PM you posted: I have no mods my car is still stock

On July 4th, 08:00 AM, you told who ever called from the dealership(the day before), only thing that has been done to the car the exhaust.

As it seems several others in here are lost trying to follow you. Is there any other things that have been done to your car?

Last time I checked if the car is under warranty and a oem part fails, breaks it should be fixed unless its an aftermarket part that causes the problem then its not covered. I would talk to the manager of that dealership and tell him what's going on and if they don't fix it tell them to kiss you a$$ and go to a different dealership.
