procharged 3.7 vs 5.0

so my friend wants to trade me his lightly modded 5.0 for my procharged 3.7 mainly because of gas. as of right now ican afford the gas of the 5.0 and insurance. my 3.7 has:

procharger tuner kit
4.10 gears
Dyno tune
cai
LT headers
catted x pipe
Borla atak axle backs
springs
sway bars
80 lb injectors
raptor trans
auto

he has:

cai
bama tune
3.73 gears
auto

and numerous exterior upgrades

I smoke him when we race but the 5.0 has more potential and more Hp/tq gained per mod I believe. his sounds better obviously cuz it's a 5.0.

the opportunity came up and it maybe a stupid question but I want y'all's opinions. thanks

How do you afford all of this? You must have a very high paying job. Or rich parents.

Anyways, I'd get the 5 oh if it were my decision

U smoke him & u get better MPG! Lmao. As for the trade it would be I hard decision for me because u put a lot of work into the 3.7 that u would have to do all over again & pay for mods all over again for the 5.0. Idk that's a pickle for me!

Keep the 3.7! Make those who hate on V6's weep! Sick car, awesome MPG, better insurance, more money saved later on in life to go and buy a GT500.

I don't trust the 5.0. Too many 'small' changes to the motor every year. If its a 2011 5.0 i sure wouldn't do it. If its a 2012 +, maybe.

it's a black 2012. my only problem with it is it is cloth. I know it's not a huge issue for most but for me I love leather. it would be a downgrade for me going from leather to cloth but it is the engine I want. that's the only reason why I am interested in it.

Add a stipulation that you have to switch seats. The bolt up should be the same.

I find my cloth seat to be more comfortable than my buddys premium leather mustang. I must be wierd. I never liked the feel of fake leather.

Yes, Ford uses "synthetic" leather. It only has to have 65% leather. The rest is fake, or "synthetic".

What did your insurance guy say on how much more it will cost you for insurance? What's the difference in mileage? How much more in gas will it cost?

I promise you that not a single 5.0 owner alive would be "jealous" of a supercharged V6. Curious? Certainly. Impressed? Absolutely. But jealous? C'mon man... You guys are killing me here. Jealousy is a strong emotion. Mustang enthusiasts don't think like that, do they? I'll give you envy perhaps, but most definitely not jealous.

Bro your 6er is sick. Very sick. And you have a lot of money in it. But the 5.0 will hold its value more imo. Hard choice to make. Mpg. Or the 5.Oh sound. Think what your mods would have done to the 5.0. It'd be awesome. Plus. I drive a black 5.0. Lol. So I'm bias.

---------- Post added at 08:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:47 PM ----------

Like I said tough choice. But if someone offered me a 6 that could beat mine. I would say no. Because I've worked hard on mine to get it where it's at. This is my first (proud to own) car.

Agreed. No question about that's its a unique build and is something to be proud of but like he said 5.0 owners being jealous I don't see it. I like that its a fast car and it gets very good mpg but I personally i did not buy mine for mpg. My 2 cents lol but to give you my opinion on the trade thing I would keep it because I built it.

Seems like $ is no prob. Just buy his 5.0. That's what I did. Can't explain it but the sixxer is my fun daily driver but when I get in the 5.0...wow.

Well. The 5.0 is great. You have put hard work into your six. IMO I value my work efforts so I would keep the six.

You have a perfect daily driver but if you want more power then get the 5.0.
