What is considered fast?

So I'm wondering when a car becomes "fast". I know stock the 2vs runs like 13.9-14.1s in perfect conditions. I know that these aren't the fastest cars but they aren't really slow. I just wanna know what is considered fast in terms as a streetable car that can be driven around easily

Depends on how much power a certain person had handled, no one really feels the same.
I feel (torque or hp) 200+ quick, 300+ fast, 400+ really fast, 500+ Crazy fast

It becomes fast when you cross the finish line first. It becomes slower when you cross the line last.

A low 13 second car is a good running street car

So running 12's would be a solid goal to start with after found suspension and stuff? And is a decent fastness?

12 sec car is a fast car, but if want to go all out you can always build more and get faster, lose weight and get faster or both.

I believe this question is relative to each persons opinion, but I happen to think a solid 12 second car is fast. Growing up around drag racing, I've always heard that if you trap 90mph or more in the 1/4 then you have a fast car. I have a 5.0 that I have gone 12.88 in being entirely stock except tires, and that was pretty fast for a stock car. In terms or reliability and daily driving I would say that a stock 5.0 is extremely capable of both. Even a full bolt on 11 second 5.0 is extremely capable of both.

Now, on the other hand, I have a 01 lightning making about 580/650ish to the wheels. I trust that truck enough to drive it across country, but I would never do so! In terms or being safe to drive daily it fails, because if it ever rained I would be spinning my way into heavens gates LOL. This same truck has been known to leave tire marks from me getting on the throttle to pass someone on the highway. My best run ever in the lightning was a high 10 second run, and that was more than fast enough for me. I feel at that power level you need to be very respectful of that power you are rolling around with because its very easy to kill yourself. Of course you can kill yourself in any vehicle, but a stock 2v gt isn't going to smoke 315 ET streets all the way through 4th gear either.

Relative. I consider a 10 second street car fast. My cobra does not feel fast to me.

I agree with the hp ratings given above. My car has 390 to the wheels. And it's fast. I would say anything into the 400 plus is FAST and anything beyond that becomes ridiculous or insanely fast.

I think it's all what ur used to. I also think any car running 10 sec 1/4 mile is fast. Someone who is used to certain amount of power their car doesn't seem fast to them as others.

Just wondering because eventually I'm looking at F/I after suspension and supporting mods. I'm looking for at least 500rwhp. Just wanted to know what most people consider is fast. I guess 10 sec is fast cause that's taking on Aventadors haha. Thanks for the replies.

I also think the year of car should be considered. A Stock 60s GT500 gets ***** on buy a new stock GT500, not trying to start the whole "GT500s aren't stock debate"

Well it depends on your car and whatcha driven lol. My first stang was a 99 v6 auto and I wasn't fast. I traded for a 99 cobra and modded it and I can feel a huge power difference. Even now that I drive my gfs 04 gt auto when I punch the gas my cobra goes ways faster lol. On a stretch I floor the cobra and it gets up there fast but the gt seems like it takes longer lol. I've also tested an 03 mach and my cobra gets it alot better but I guess it's my mods that do it.

You need to be in the 11 second 1/4 mile range to be "fast" nowadays. If you want to be able to beat up on normal traffic a low 13 second car can get you there. 12s are a good goal to start with and you can get there with just bolt ons in a 2V.

I think it is all relative. Low 13's are pretty quick for a 2v Mustang but if you can't get a new Shelby there you're slow.
