So I got my MPT today and loaded it up tonight. All I can say is wow. The throttle response is no delay. The car explodes when hitting 2nd and third gears. The tires were chirping at 40 mph and even 70 mph when punching it from dead stop. My tires never chirped at 70 mph. I still love bama but holy good god on MPT. I can see what all the hub bub is about. MPT is the real deal. 91 race performance tune is a freaking beast. I have to say the mid to high power with our engines is really explosive with the right tune and mods. Your thrown back in your seat.

The engine idol and engine revs are a little choppy at start up. Slight surge with my rpm's when reving engine which I'm sure MPT can work out if I data log. First gear is just not a pull hard gear but 2nd and 3rd gears up to gear 6 are a beast. When you hit 40 mph it pulls crazy hard all the way up.
Mad props to MPT to making a crazy powerful tune in email form. I wish 1st gear was more explosive like 2nd and 3rd gears but that's just how the car is designed. Even with 3:73 gears the v6 just lacks the torque to have the first gear explosiveness. I'm not sure if even the 5.0 has an explosive 1st gear.

...engine idol...

You've been watching too much TV...jus' messin' with ya, LOL

Glad you like the MPT, makes me want to try one, but yes, the 5.0 has an explosive 1st gear.

Very nice bro! Told you so! And my 1st gear is my most explosive gear (3.31 rear-axle) but that's probably cause mine is a stick and they have different ratios.

Thanks Dan, should I call you guys today and talk about a new tune or data log prior. I'm having another issue with the tune. My check engine light comes on. I check the code and it says its my 02 sensor. I check my 02 sensors and they are fine. It only comes on when the car is driven fairly hard. I clear the code, drive around normal and no check engine light. If the 02 sensors were bad, I would think the check engine light would come right back on. This code is with the hybrid tune and its still slightly surging. the rpm's will drop then shoot back up

Did you get a p219b or p2197? My hybrid started throwing those recently. I dataloggged and sent bama an email in Saturday but haven't heard back from them yet. Hopefully this will at least fine tune my tune when/if I get it back.

My o2 sensors were fine and I had no leaks. The sensors think I'm running lean but I think they are just being touchy.

Bro, thats the same exact thing I'm getting. I mean the same thing. Both codes you listed but at different times. I have no leaks. I'm ready to just install two new 02 sensors, however I'm not sure if there bad. It only started doing this check engine stuff this past week. Any thoughts. I had been running the hybrid tune for 7 plus months

Same with me. I was running it for 6 months. The exhaust shop that looked at it for me said there best guess is that maybe since I moved the o2 sensors (they said that its not recommended ) they could just be acting up but that the sensors themselves were fine. It didn't seem to be running lean either.

I'll give bama a call at lunch if I don't hear back about my datalog.

At least I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Crazy bro. I been running headers since March 13 and no issues up until this past week with the check engine light and 02 thing. When I clear the code, and drive normal , no light. My buddy who is a mechanic and installed the headers said I would know if there is an exhaust leak. One, good chance would hear it, two if I didn't hear it because of how loud the car is, there would be nasty black gunk all over the underside of car from the exhaust leak. No black stuff at all! Its nice and clean! I hate to spend the money on new 02 sensors if its not needed.

Well my check engine light just came in again. Wtf. I'll have to wait until I get home and pull the code with my sct tuner but I'm sure it will be the 02 sensor. Grrrrr!

Just hooked the tuner up and it engine code P2197 02 Sensor Biased stuck lean bank 2, sensor 1. Grrrr. I don't see a leak. Maybe sensor is just bad

I'm sorry to hear that your car is throwing a code! Please shoot me a PM with your order number included and I'll have our head tuning manager give you a call directly.

Dan, I did send you guys a data log today for my hybrid tune to be tweaked. I don't think its your tune even though has been going off with the hybrid tune. The same code went off with the mpt tune. Two completely separate tunes faulty, no way. Lol

Its got to be a bad 02 sensor. Grrrr

Maybe. The exhaust shop said mine were still worming. Funny thing was I threw a code on the stock tune as well. But I drove it around for about 40 miles and it went away? I have no clue.

I cleared the 2197 and have drove over 100 miles and it hasn't came up again......yet.

Makes me irritated but it seems like nothing is wrong unless maybe it's running a little rich for real?

At first, I thought it was an isolated incident with the check engine light. It has come on about 5 times in the past week. I even used the mpt tune and the same sensor code came back on so it can't be a faulty tune by either bama or mpt. I'm almost certain there is no exhaust leak from the headers or x pipe. If there was an exhaust leak, I would either hear it, the car would sound and run like garbage, there would be black soot all on the bottom the car from the exhaust.

American Muscle today told me if the car was truly running lean because of the 02 sensors , then both driver and passenger side 02 sensors would most likely be bad and reading on the code. Since there is only the one code, most likely it just is a bad 02 sensor on the drivers side.

I have no idea if having headers and off road x pipe shortens the life of 02 sensors but I only have had my headers on since April 2013.

Alright, there's a chance it's a bad o2 sensor. Definitely let me know if we can be of any further assistance!

Okay, so just left the exhaust shop and absolutely no leak of exhaust. Just bad 02 sensor. Very glad about no exhaust leak.

Alright, at least you got it narrowed down and there's no exhaust leak! Please keep us posted and let us know if a new o2 sensor fixes your issue.
