2013 GT/CS

I traded in my 2005 black V6 coupe for a silver 2013 California Special... I love this car! Did tons of mods to the V6 to make it my own and it was bitter sweet trading it in but I'm excited to get started on this one... already running a BAMA 93 race tune and deleted the sound tube... not sure what I'll do next but can't wait!

Sharp car

I have a 13 white gt/cs
I did the roush exhaust and the Barton shifter so far . The CS does give you a great platform to start with

I love the looks of the CS... only thing I'll change appearance wise is installing flush mount window louvers and tinted side markers all around... other than that, the exterior is perfect

I love my '13 GT/CS! I decided to go with this package because it had most of the appearance mods I'd want to do anyways. The black grill, fog lights, front lip etc were the same or close to what I wanted. I've done gt500 axlebacks and Barton short throw so far they're both great! And tint of course

I am a business manager for a Ford dealership so I bought it for D-Plan plus it is a 2013 so it had a $2000 rebate with 0% available... lol... so it was a steal

Just axle backs? I'm thinking about a full cat back with x pipe again... but might decide to do a full exhaust... long tubes with high flow cats and x pipe

Yeah just axle backs, I think most of your hp gains come from the tune

OCStang,

That would depend how much of the exhaust you're changing. My favorite setups are LT headers, O/R Xpipe, and Magnaflow street axleback or GT500 axleback. That setup is very rowdy when you're WOT, but somewhat more tame at cruising speeds.

However, if you're keeping the factory catalytic converters & exhaust manifolds, then I'm a fan of Magnaflow Competition, Roush, or Pype bomb axlebacks. They sound awesome, but give a little too much volume when paired with a catless mid-pipe IMO.

Hope this helps!

Shane

We recently sold a 2012 v6 that had roush axlebacks installed in it and it did sound good... I can only imagine the 5.0 would sound that much better

Roush axelbacks on a stock-exhaust 5.0 sound fantastic. That said, if you decide to combine the Roush with a full offroad x-pipe like I have, be prepared for it to be ungodly loud. Most people say it reminds them of the good old days of big V8's and glasspacks, but if you want a more manageable sound that won't attract everyone within your 2-mile radius, you might be better off with an x-pipe plus gt500 mufflers from what I've heard.

The glass roof is an awesome option... I plan on doing black vinyl on the roof just like the BOSS to break up the silver a little

Same here, might get it painted, not sure. Was also thinking about painting the spoiler black and getting black side skirts.

A good change to make is take the Mustang emblem off the front grill. I know it sounds dumb but do it. You will like the new look of the front of your Mustang.

Two things I will always regret - NOT getting a glass roof, and trading in my TR '03 Mach 1 for my '13 when I could have kept it.

I got my 2013 back in September and have made a few changes (20% tint and MMD quarter panel louvers) still debating on the next upgrade but I most definitely love my CS . Some of my friends have said they think the CS edition has less hp due to stricter emissions. I have yet to find anything backing that up. Has anyone else heard of that

Nice Ride. Super Clean looking whip. From what I understand the CS is just cosmetic upgrades with an option to add glass roof on some models. I have never heard of the CS having less HP than a regular GT. I will tell you that HP varies from one GT to the next as those of us who have test driven multiple GTs noticed some just seem to put down more power. Cars with the same rear end gearing, wheels, similar options will vary in power. Depends on what day of the week they made it. If yours was built day after the Superbowl or on July 5th where all the factory workers are still drunk when they show up to work, (hangover holidays), yours will be slower for sure lol.
