Almost Crashed!!

So it rained pretty good today in west Georgia and little to my knowing when I plugged in my phone charger to the dash 12V outlet I accidentally brushed and turned off the TCS...so later down the road I make a left hand turn and give it some gas to accelerate down the road and completely lost control and drifted like crazy which I then over corrected for and caused me to spin out even more then running off into a slight drainage ditch and then back onto the road into the oncoming lane! Luckily there were no cars and no damage to my car that I can tell!

Don't you have to hold down the TC button for it to turn off?

But I'm in sliiighhhttt disbelief that you "accidentally" turned your TCS off

Plugging in my phone charger to the 12V plug in right next to the TCS button is the only way I can think that I could've possibly turned it off cause that wouldn't have happened if the TCS was on!

You would've had to gas it a lot to get them to break loose.

In the rain? Not really
And I was turning which makes it so much easier to break loose

No, a Prius would have understeered and gone straight. It takes alot of effort to slide the rear in a fwd car without pulling the e brake.

Nice try though.

I have 3 v8 mustangs without t/c and i've never had one spin out of control in the rain...

Lol but never the less you do have to be careful. You arent the first person to break em loose. Just glad u and the stang are ok!

The roads around here are so slick, it's insane. Ive totally spun around in my truck and been hit by somebody sliding through a curve.

I've spun my dads f150 around with 38's on it, good thing traffic wasn't busy, slick roads where I'm from also. Gotta be careful after a lot of rain haha

bad tires are the reason for this. i have in my city a corner that i usually take with 50mph and summer tires on rain and it's fine. once i had the winter ones (again on rain) and i had less than 20mph and a similar thing happened to me. you can draw the conclusion

That's what i put on the back of my wife's gt in a 295. She likes them. I found out not the best dry traction. Could blow them off on a bolton 2v. The bfg kdw2 did everything well.

A small part of it was the rain but a large part of it is what the rain brings up. Namely oil. I found that out the hard way as I spun in the middle of a right hand turn and my traction control was on. I also realize how easy it is to accidentally turn off the traction control
