Iv got a couple question for drag raing my car

1. Will I dirt bike helmet be enough? They say any car that runs 13.99 or faster is recuried to wear a helmet

2. Will I need a blow down tube for my nitrous?

3. I was thinking about running open longtube headers good idea or bad?

4. I have a set of rims with a 5.5 bolt pattern on them and drag slicks is it safe to use an adapter?

5. What time should I expect mods are:

Cobra jet drag springs
4.10 rear end
Bama hybrid tune for nos
100 shot of spray
No back seat or passenger seat or spare tire
Cold air intake
Bmr lower control arms
Longtube headers open
Or longtube header Mac prochamber
Maby have slicks
Might run on 285 performcae tires
Throttle body spacer
Tower brace bar
Transmission brace
Automatic transmission with adjusted shift points

6. Will I need a kill switch

And finally driver mod won't be a problem I'm good with my car iv had time on a track by my house I live in a small town and the guy who owns it lets me use it but iv never set up the stuff to time it

1. The Helmet needs to have a certain SNELL rating.
2. I believe you do need a blow down tube for the nitrous.
3. I would leave your exhaust on
4. No idea
5. Only real way to know is to go run, there are a lot of factors that come into play.
6. Not sure

I would get a blow-down tube for your own safety not just for the track, not sure where you live but if it's anywhere where it gets hot it's a bad situation waiting to happen.

here's a picture of a car where the safety disc failed and the car was blown up. even if the disc would have worked, in a car without the blowdown tube, there is possibities of damage inside the car.

the article it came from:
Overheated Nitrous Bottle Explodes In The Trunk Of A Mustang - Dragzine

I would not want to be inside a car where the vent disc was blown and there was no blow down tube.

It has to be a sa10 helmet rating. A dirt bike helmet will not cover it.
