Some exhaust questions

Didn't really get alot of responses in the 05 09 v6 section so I'm posting here.

I'd like to make my v6 louder, but I don't have the funds(or the stupidity at least) to spend a couple hundred on an exhaust system as my girlfriend is 38 weeks pregnant.

So as far as I know, I'm subject to 4 options:

Glasspack

Muffler Delete

Straight pipe

and what would probably be the most costly for the VERY low budget range, takeoffs.

Which of these options would be my best bet to get a louder exhaust but NOT turn it into a fart cannon. Also, would an 08 CS takeoff work, too?

You could start by taking the muffler(s) off. See how you like it, and then go from there. That's cheap and easy, for starters.

It took a good 2 hours, liquid wrench, blood, sweat, and tears, my whole tool box to get the bolt loose on the clamp but I finally got the whole muffler off.

LOVED the way it sounded. BUT, when I drove it, its pretty loud when on the throttle with no music and the windows down. I won't know how it sounds outside the car until my girlfriend gets home.

But right now the only thing done is the muffler removed, there are no muffler shops open this late (almost 4 pm) on a saturday to weld a pipe to it. What will the straight pipe change?
