Manual trans you have failed me for the last time!

I am getting so sick of this T45 it isn't even funny. Bent 1-2 fork most likely (at least from my gut feeling diagnosis) and never had a trans this hard to get into gear sometimes... ugh... The other day at a light and a straight wide open backroad and 2nd gear grinds like a mofo AGAIN, completely ruined my drive home.

I know I could just rebuild it myself or swap in a Magnum or something but no... going to start looking for a good 4r70w to swap in along with a low mileage Mach 1 converter or if I can get a good deal on an aftermarket stall I'll go with that. I know I can get a single disc Freakshow conveter for $400 new with a 1 yr warranty. Still undecided on whether to go full manual valve body or Baumanator but I'll have some time to think about it over the winter since its getting to be about that time to shut her down for the cold weather anyway. Will probably drive it for another month or so on the hurt trans just to get everything I can out of it (still shifts OK if I granny shift it).

Yes, I know... Heresy... I suck because I'm going to have a Mustang with 2 pedals etc... Car will actually be faster, shift harder/faster and no more worrying about missed shifts, blown clutches, cable adjustments or a flaky left knee. Swapping in some 4.10s and a good converter and a j-mod this car will do a mid-high 12 easy as it sits so that alone is worth it to me.
2000 Mustang GT Steeda build #48. Bolt ons, suspension, Novi 2000.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
