Tune-up question

My check engine light came on after a bad rain over night. The guy at Autozone checked the codes and he said it needs a tune-up then he said when I lifted the hood did I have water sitting on the plugs I said yes, he then said that's the problem and to just blow out the water and dirt and it should clear up. My problem is that this is my daily driver and the car drives like crap. How long can I keep driving the car before I go ahead and change the spark plugs before I mess something else up? Thanks for the input.

People at autozone and stores want to pretend like they know what they're doing when they dont.

You guys are really missing my point. I know the code doesn't say tune up. He said by the the codes. It may need a tune up. All I need to know is will I mess anything up if I keep on driving it while it's driving rough.

If it drives like crap logic to me would be to do it quick before you tear up your car...

Granted we don't know how it's actually running...but I would make sure everything else is up to par and try to single your problem out or just go for it.

Dang I can't double quote from my phone.
Fast: believe it or not the wires looked good.

Smash: The acceleration is amazing now. I can't believe how much faster it is now

Next is suspension, brakes and painting the calipers red while everything is apart.
