Everyone I've read reviews on thinks it is eww. I like it but to me the design is plain. I'm getting it because finally, I can have navigation and complete that premium trim level.

Watch the video again. When he presses play in the latter half, the screen takes a good 2-3 seconds to recognize. I am unsure if its a good idea to buy the first ever unit made by a company who NEVER makes these things.

I'm not sure of the video you speak of, if you post a link I'll be sure to check it out. I plan on uploading a video this evening to demonstrate its functions and capabilities. It is a great device! I haven't found any flaws in the design or functionality and I've been using it for over a week. You can check out my full review here:

Raxiom OE-Style GPS Navigation w/ Bluetooth & Back-up Camera (10-14)

I'll be sure to update this thread with a link to the video as soon as I upload it. And to be clear, the brains of the navigation unit itself is made by Rosen, a industry leader in producing high quality GPS units for many of the factory equipped navigation automobiles on the market today. They produce they unit, Raxiom designed and assembles the kits and supplies everything else for AmericanMuscle.com to distribute it. You can read more about Rosen and their over 20 year history of producing GPS Components here:

Due to such high demand, AmericanMuscle.com decided to give the Raxion Navigation unit an early release. It is available today for $699.99 with Free Shipping.

Thanks for your response. I didn't know about the relationship with Rosen, so I take what I said about that back. The video I referred to is the vlog that americanmuscle has. It's the most recent where they show the 3D rendering of the 2015 mustang. That's where the pause is.

But, if you say you have it (and you've already posted pictures proving that) and say you love it, I'm sure it's perfectly fine.

One thing though, how much are they paying you in cash or through a gift card for this review etc? Lets all be honest here.

Honestly....
Not a penny, no gift card, no store credit, no fame or fortune. It's something they asked if I would do and I obliged. They've been good to me in the past, it's the least I could do for them.

Good enough for me I'd definitely ask for a little FI or a couple cans of nitrous while your line of communication with them is still open

Phone GPS isn't the greatest. Not to mention it can drain data quick if you don't have a unlimited data plan. I'm also not a fan of having my battery die every time I take a road trip, and I hate having it plugged in constantly.

Not to get in AM's way, but I'd also recommend for you to go to Crutchfield.com and check out other options available to you. Hands-free calling, navigation etc are all common features of this, and many other in-dash GPS's.

True but this seems simple to install yourself, cheap, good looking, and just perfect fit for the car haha

If you have sync though, this is great. No extra harness and all plug an play. I'll vouch for crutch field, got my entire speaker and radio system for my last car and everything worked well.

Also a good thing to know, and my turning point to buy is it tells you speed limits and tracks red light cams and speed traps, along with my escort, I'll be a cop spotting machine!

I agree that crutchfield is great. But after spending a few minutes putting together the equivalent to this kit from Raxiom and AmericanMuscle.com, the lowest price I could come up with it $1200. $699 of that is just the navigation head unit, a entry level receiver from alpine. To me, the Raxiom navigation is a no brainer, it's keeps everything as it is, but integrates it all in a very user friendly touch screen interface with rick solid GPS navigation.

Hey guys,

I'm glad to hear you all have intentions of picking up the Raxiom Navigation, you won't be disappointed! Me and DWC both installed the Raxiom Nav in our 2011+ Mustangs over the weekend and have both experienced nothing but excellence with this item. The fit and function is all there for an affordable price. It even calls out speed limit changes, red light cameras, speed traps, traffic patterns, accidents ahead etc.. and so much more! I had the factory unit out and the Raxiom unit in, in under and hour and 15 minutes.

Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions or need some assistance. We're also working on a review/install video for the Nav as we speak! Stay tuned.

-Dan

I didn't think it had a network connection. How does it do speed traps and traffic?
