I need your opinion.

Hey guys I have an 07 v6 and I think it's time for a mod with my birthday comming up
I was thinking either a true dual exhaust kit between the pypes mid muffler or ford racing's kit or airaid CAI and tune. What's your opinion? Thanks in advance !

Happy Birthday!

If it were me, I'd shoot for the Airaid CAI & Bama tuner for a big boost in power and throttle response. I'm not sure if your Mustang is an automatic, but if it is- all the more reason to get a custom tune!

Exhaust is always a nice option too. Sometimes you need to please your ears before adding more power. I know a lot of guys feel this way about their Mustangs. It all depends on what interests you the most. All three of these options are promising!

Shane

I'd say exhaust first. You could always just do a single weld-in for the sound and be closer to the intake/tune moneywise.

I think I will go with the exhaust first but I'm not too worried in money il get the tune later. I've been stock for too long now, well it feels like it even tho I've had my stand for about 4 months now lol

Probably going with the mid muffler set up.

The current one with GT mufflers and was it something you could install yourself? If I do get the mid muffler which I want too, do you know if there's any welding to do or is it just bolt on?

Definitely go with exhaust if you're on the edge. I'd say spend a little more and go with the Ford Racing kit if you want superior quality and fitment. Pypes would work too but I hear they're quite droney.

Definitely going with the exhaust first ! I hear the ford racing is too quiet I want something deep and that will make my presence known but not too loud and obnoxious

I have heard a couple mid muffler setups that sound nice! I'd probably go with one of those

Definitely go exhaust first. For only a little more, go true dual. Don't skimp. (grins)

A CAI won't help suck in more air if you can't get any air out! You won't need a tuner for an exhaust mod so you can save up a few $$ incase you need to. After that a CAI will be free to do it's job.

My $.02

Not a bad choice! As others have said, I would definitely go with a dual exhaust conversion. You'll be glad you did!

For exhaust tone and volume, check out our exhaust sound clips under each setup. It will help you find the exhaust sound you're looking for. Also, let me know if you have any questions!

Just got back from talking to the guy at the shop, says he'll install for $100. So definitely going to pull the trigger on the mid muffler set up

Whitestang23- You're practically at the forum discount code mark. Just a hand full of posts away! Then you'll be able to use the code on all of your future purchases with AM, including the exhaust.

Both of you shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up!

Shane

First of all congrats you're welcome lol I got you up to 50 posts lol but if I where you I'd have everything welded up to be safe but the only downside to that Is if you don't like it then you may have more work to do to change the exhaust

Yeah, get them welded if possible. Will prevent problems down the road (if any arise).
