Confused about tuners

If I purchase a tuner and upload one of the tunes it comes with. Then later on I decide I really want the most out of my mods and want to run it on a dyno I can use the same tuner right? Also does it make a difference if you run your car on the dyno with all your mods and never did it with the car stock?

Yes you can use the same tuner. Not sure what you're asking in your second part.

If I skip putting my car on the dyno, stock, will it make a difference when I install any mods and dyno it?

Yes you can. But I've heard they've had more problems out of the tunes that come on the tuners then getting them programmed for your car from a reputable source. Also no need to dyno before all your mods unless you are wanting to get a baseline of what kind of numbers your car is already putting down.

Yea I have heard a mix of things. Some people say it's ok and some people say no. I just want to make sure I'm purchasing the right thing and doing what I can to help prevent bad. So I'm assuming tuner brands are just a personal preference as well.

If by brands you mean the actual device. Then yeah. Do you want one that will work find and do what you need it to do. Then the regular sct tuner will do just fine. If you want one that you can do through your iphone or android. Or a device that looks like an iphone or a screen that hooks up to your car. Then yeah. They have everything you could possibly want. But now for the actual tunes. Then yeah there is also a big difference in costumer service and performance.

Custom tunes are always better than canned tunes (like BAMA ). Your first mod should be your shifter tho. The stock one is sh1t .
