J MOD

jmod do you have it done, would you recommend it did you do it yourself or have a shop do it... how much did it cost... details please looking into this for a upgrade asap

There should be a YouTube video and it's pretty much free. Never had auto so never personally done.

IMO after watching the video taking out the whole transmission would be easy if your doing in the backyard under a pouch like I would be if I was going to do it, but if your not it still looks easy being out then to put it back together on your back if you don't have a car lift plus if you take it out you can do a jmod easy and put in a stall converter which is also a good automatic mod

Only problems I ran into so far was daylight and I have to watch the video again because I forgot how some things went, but yes I'm doing jmod myself but putting the tranny back in I will need my buddies

I don't want to mess with it myself.. so a shop wont do this... what other options do you have if a shop wont do a j mod. is a shift kit a waste of money

Ya you should only have to remove the valve body, and if you don't want to do it AM sells a j modded valve body for like $220 I think( not sure of the price)
