Like how hard? The MGW is supposed to be a very stiff shifter.

You're probably just used to something else. I know my short throw has no play and takes a little force to move in neutral but nothing abnormal. And another guy has a short throw in a sn95 and it's easy to move in neutral.

It's the shifter. It's stiff because it has centering springs. So when you go from 2nd to 3rd it's pretty much going straight up because it will center so fast. I like it because I always like to feel like I'm driving a sporty car. The stock shifter was way too loose for me. Even when I get in my parents corvette it's super loose compared to my MGW.

My mach has the MGW as well. It has no neutral play compared to any other manual I've driven. When I first test drove it I couldn't for the life of me find neutral. Kept thinking it was in gear lol. But I got used to it. Now I love it, easy to shift from 2nd to 3rd, never miss a gear even tho it's so short.

Tri-ax is just a stud shifter. I have one in my car and love the stiffness. It's way better than stock for sure. You'll get use to the little differences between in gear and neutral. Just drive it a lot.

My dad hates my shifter because it's too stiff and the throws are too short for him..... And he drives a Corvette.
