I'm just curious on which one you guys would think is the best sound for a 2014 Gt. I watched YouTube videos on both but still up in the air and wanna get some peoples input about it.

Yea that's why I looked at the outlaw catbacks. Borla was sorta expensive but I can always wait a little bit longer. I'm gonna have to look up these s-type exhaust again. I just want to get the best sound and everything of course.

Once you go Borla you never go back. The S-Types / Stingers are Borla's deeper muffler set. They seem to be the most popular around here (I LOVE mine).

Yea that's what I have noticed. Everyone talks about borla this borla that. But then looked at prices and was like hell I need to get out of the military or something to afford these prices lol. That's why I looked at the outlaw catbacks since everyone has borla but I'm thinking it's for a good reason why everyone has em.

Are you sure? I've heard/seen people say the ATAKs are more of the race car growl / raspy type. In Borla's official video comparison the S-Types seemed to be the deepest.

I have a V6 but ive heard many 5.0s and BY FAR the sounds i love the most is of that Borla S-Type it just sounds so addicting deep and just perfect for the mustang. Ive also heard the Attack but it just doesnt have that sexy rumble that the S-Type has !

Oh yeah, they're simple just the best sounding mufflers right now IMO. You do pay top dollar for them, but I'd say they're worth it.

Hell, I got a great deal on mine. Went to AM, got the official part number, searched it in eBay, and I found the cheapest price plus I had a $60 eBay coupon. I ended up getting mine for $420 brand new with 1 year warranty or something

You paid that for the full catback system? That's what I been looking for but can't afford the 1,400 price tag any time soon and the flowmaster outlaws are like 769 range

bro don't even sweat the extra 600$. I'm telling you right now you will regret not going with The Borla's. 100% the best exhaust for the new 5.0.

Haha the mass feedback of Borla S type still hasn't subj in to some ppl... I'm plenty happy with mine, after I deleted my resonators it's just about a perfect tone... I'm afraid to ruin it my going full exhaust

Well I think I'm officially sold on the borla atak now. Just from watching the videos the outlaws sounded a lil louder and deeper but then again haven't heard either of the ones I was looking at in person. So looks like I'm gonna start saving the extra money for the borlas now.

Just go ahead and buy them, get em installed, and let her be mad. It won't last long, because once she goes for a ride, she'll understand! Plus, ya know, you could take her shopping too.

Lmao that's too funny. Yea my wife would be the one to get up under my car take the exhaust off and hide it on me. Yea she's very good with cars. But yes maybe between spoiling her doing the chores and shopping.... Wait who am I kidding I'll go the option of just getting the exhaust and be like babe listen to the car sounds good right lol

Okay that's what I was thinking but never know I guess. With the axle back it give you a good aggressive sound?

In an exhaust system, the muffler (if present) is going to control (roughly, give or take) 85% of what the sound will be. With an x-pipe and resonator-less mid-pipe (which is what the full cat-back system consists of), it'll sound a bit different, but like I said, the muffler calls the shots as far as sound goes.

Ahh gotcha. Thanks for the info. Yes gonna be a while to get that catback system but I can tell be so worth it in the end then when I plan ok headers I can get borla and shouldn't have a problem hooking up with everything else.

Ive had borla s types and roush and I have to say that the two are very similar. I didnt think so until I owned both. The roush is a little louder at wot and a little less refined. But other than that, if you like borla you will like roush. Now from a quality stand point, my borla never saw any rust anywhere. The roush already has some rust on the welds. Whatever you do... dont get 11-12 borla if you have a 13. The tips look so freaking stupid when they stick out that far. Get the version made for the 13-14.

And lot of nice header have 3 inch exit

Catted H pipe and borla Ataks is THE best sounding exhaust on mustangs IMO.
In second place is MAC flowpaths.
