Seat belt retracting issue

Sorry if this is the wrong place to start this, didnt know where else would be good lol

I'm having an issue with my seat belt not retracting once I unbuckle.. It kinda just hangs there at whatever distance I had it pulled to but it will go back in if I help it retract, just not on its own... Ideas?

It's an 03 GT if it matters

Common issue. Ford used to replace them under warranty. You're on your own now.

You have to buy the entire seat belt assembly and replace yours.

My passenger side used to be like that... Turned out to be twisted where it goes in.... Check the little things first.
