Little bit of tinkering on the 98 today
Finally did my clutch freeplay kit, did a write up on it in the 96-04 section.
Pulled out the goddam Fiore quick release quadrant that was driving me up a wall and installed a MM one with proper spacers so it isn't flopping around under there. For sale if anyone wants it.
Then took a dremel to the ashtray door of the 95 console I have and dropped in the 98 cupholder I had leftover from my original grey interior. Not exactly happy with how it sits in there but anyone not me would probably not notice it and it holds drinks just like it should so w/e.
I'll probably do an actual OEM 98 console or dye a 01-04 console black which is probably the better option. Also threw a Hurst T handle on my Rock Crusher stick. This combo with a Tri-Ax NAILS shifts and puts the handle right where it should be IMO. I can hit every gear form a nice comfy recline and no reaching. Also a T handle is immensely better than a ball or leather knob for slamming gears.
