I got a GT!!!!

Wanted to thank everyone on this forum for helping me understand the Mustang world. In 2011 I bought my first Stang, a 2012 V6 but a couple of months ago I wreck it. It wasn't a considered a total loss but Mikes Paint Place here in Laredo didn't do a good job of fixing it. So I went to San Antonio and traded it in and got a 2013 GT!!!! I'm gonna miss my Candy Red V6 but I got to admit the power of the GT will soon make me forget her. I have to read about the GT on the GT forums now. Thanks and I'll still be checking in cuz I convinced my niece to buy a 2014 Mustang V6. Laters.

I drove a GT for a week in Florida loved the power & sound I chose the V6 cause I just don't need that power anymore I had some fast machines in my time , I was amazed that a standard V6 could put out over 300 HP & still get that great MPG but you enjoy it & drive safe

I know the V6 has a lot of benefits and I really don't need a powerful car but I never had a GT before. My first car was a 1985 Mustang (well it was actually my mom's but she let me drive it whenever I wanted). It was a 4 cylinder and that was over 18 years ago until. I bought my 2012 Mustang V6 in late 2011. I loved the color most of all, Candy Red. But after the crash I wasn't happy with the work the auto shop did. When I went to trade it in for a new one, the GT told me it was time. So I upgraded.

My wife had one of those old 4cyl convertibles when we first got married. The roof leaked like a screen door (I actually had to poke plastic sheeting around the roof on rainy days so I MIGHT stay dry...ish) and the poor thing didn't have the oomph to get out of its own way. It, candidly gave me a bad impression of Mustangs ... until I drove a 2011 v6 and my impression was completely changed. What awesome machines. I love my '11 V6 but of course a GT would be cool too . Congrats.

Certainly a 5.0 would be sweet but I got my 2011 V6 up to 350 HP and all with bolt on mods. With my 3:73 gears , its plenty fast for me.
