need opnions

Alright so I'm getting tore up from my friends about this (they drive 350z and camaros) any way I'm in college with an 02 GT and when time gets close to graduating ima get a newer stang to start life with. Well I wanted a new 5.0 but it will be probably out of my budget haha so actually thinking 05-09 GT when engine goes put a 5.0 in. If I get an 05-09 I'm thinking about making it look like the one from kick ***! Lol what yall think?

Still looks terrible imo, even if it does have 400 horses (which isn't that hard to get)

A simple $1500 vortech on a 2v will put just under 400, not that expensive.

I say you get your new stang..
And bang all their chicks in the backseat..
If you don't fit you can put the backseats down and stick your legs in the trunk. Plenty of leg room ff topic:

By the time you graduate, consider an '11 5.0. They are getting quite affordable. Forget that silly red ricer.

OP how far along in college are you? If you have a few more years then the 5.0 will be in the mid teens by then. Hell, even the price for the engine will probably go down by then.

Who cares what your friends drive? Are they paying for the cars or are their parents? It took me a few years out of college before I could buy the car I wanted (it was Geman not a Mustang lol) and it was very satisfying even though I had to wait. Be patient and go with what makes you happy, within your budget of course.

Okay well maybe I can't afford that right now. Not everyone has $1,500+ that they can just drop down at once.

So instead of buying a $1500 supercharger your saying to get a $13k car because he doesn't have the money? I may be young but I'm pretty sure $1.5k is a lot cheaper than $13k
And if you guys read that right I wasn't even saying to get a supercharger. He said that car he posted had 400 something horses, all I said was that it's not that hard to get 400 horses. Never said to actually get one.

This escalatedquickly lol. Don't care for speed to much. I rather go cruising down the road with a few friends. Friends had their parents by their cars. I bought my own. I like the 05-09 because to me they seem a little smaller than the 2010+. I can put an engine in myself. This will by my toy over my career something to keep me occupied. Not going that all at once haha maybe one month get the wheels, next the paint job idk something to keep me into having a mustang. May looked rice out but like the movie kick *** a lot and I think having a replica of the stang in there will be cool as f*ck. Others may not like it but does it matter? as Long as the owner respects it who cares haha. Thanks for all the opnions though, I still want to do it though. just have a better engine in it though. now supercharged maybe 5.0 with some cams, I love that sound. I have 3 years left in college until I may get one, maybe sooner if the price is right.

That's kind of what I though about their cars. No matter what you buy you can be proud of it because you worked for it. If you wanna make a replica or take direction from that movie car, do it. In the end it's about what you like. Good luck bud!

I appreciate it! haha I want one close to stock, except the wheels (I hate stock wheels) then do it all myself by hand, something to learn and have fun with, and of coarse get my future kids hooked on it
