God you guys are being a bunch of whiny *****es right now. It's his car let him do what he wants. OP I would check SVTP for a thread. I know they have a couple LS1 swapped guys on there. You might get more hits on there than here, I don't think anybody here has done an LS1 swap into a mustang.

Ford guys give Chevy guys crap. Chevy guys give Ford guys crap. You are now going to have to take a little crap from both sides of the fence. (Better get used to it) In the end I think both parties have respect for one another. So I mean no disrespect. Like others have said... Just my $.02

Just do some of us a favor and remove all your badges... J/K

I really do hope it all turns out well for you. Would love to see some track slips when your done. Then us Ford guys can tell the Chevy guys that we can make better use of their stuff than they can.

The car looks amazing and what does it matter what I have under the good, hp is hp. Y'all should make a forum talking crap to all the people who have totaled these cars out, cause there is nothing left of those I'm just not financially able to put another 4v 4.6 in it. Sorry.
+1, go through with the swap! Love to see some pics

Lol thanks guys I can't wait to start. Sad to say I'm pretty excited about it, I use to be the one saying that's a dumb decision until I seen how simple it can be and the hp increase. I love my car and wouldn't choose another over it "besides a new vet or new cobra" I just like being different and this could be a cool change, don't just see it everyday. Thanks again for the input and help everybody

I'm not talking *****, I gave my opinion. If your panties can handle some criticism, maybe you shouldn't open your mouth

Why did you even give criticism? He pretty much said he was going to go through with it. There was no need for what you even said in the first place.

A buddy of mine did a similar swap in a 2000 Saleen. He got the Ls motor on the cheap, plus an allegedly good automatic. By the time he bought all of the parts to make the swap, and fix the burnt trans, he could have easily fixed the mod motor that was making 450+ at the tires before it blew. The mod motor explosion was chalked up to a punctured oil pan from hitting some debris on the highway. At any rate, it is your car... cross-breeds are just not my cup of tea. No disrespect.

He also said "I'm a diehard mustang person" and LS1 swap in the same post. Clearly very confused.

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as the OP likes it but he shouldn't get all upset because the REAL diehard mustang guys told him not do it.

OP, just go with the swap. Don't listen to all of them... And i've heard of far more successful swaps than the one sinister07 mentioned.
