Yeah well I think I'm being brainwashed by the people on here .... all saying
don't do it scare tactics yes from all the data I have read 550 to 600 is
safe with a good tune / good fuel / so..... since I have the kit to make 560 hp
I want to obviously use it then I get comments like your block may have
a window hole ha...... so I am contemplating it now.... to be honest.

He keeps saying 550 cause he's talking about crank numbers, not wheel horsepower like everyone keeps assuming.

No, he is talking 550rwhp. Otherwise it would make no sense to compare a blown 4.6 to a coyote in terms of handling HP. A coyote can make 600rwhp with nothing but a slap on blower and a 4.6 can not. A 5.0 can also make it down the track a bunch of times with 600rwhp. A 4.6 will not. See my point?

Oh yeah, I'm completely on your side with it, I just think he's living in fantasy land where crank HP numbers matter and the 3V is Gods gift to man for a budget build

I mean the 3v deserves some credit. The head design was better than the 2v, but at the same time not up to par with the 4v they had in any of the cobras or machs. Any car can be made fast, and mustangs aren't even the best platform for "fast" cars but we buy what we can afford lol. Obviously if we could all afford ford GTs or lamborginis we wouldn't be on this forum. So having said that, we are all a little off our rockers for being so proud of what we have in comparison to other nicer more expensive makes out there. I know for a fact that my lightning will beat my 5.0 all day with a stick and it's a 2V truck lol, but at the same time I am willing to admit my 5.0 would be within a stones throw of winning the race if all it had done was a blower. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter how much HP your engine will hold or how much HP it makes. Dyno sheets and even built motors don't trap anything while they sit there. E.Ts should do everyone's talking... Lambo or mustang.. 4.6 or 5.0.. Etc etc etc.

Yep, all it really does is give us something to squabble over as we all ponder what our dream build is gonna look like if we ever had enough money. Hell this argument wouldn't even be around if everyone had the money to afford to build whatever they wanted

But it is ha... 450RWHP is no joke and my total investment has been 23 k or so
Forged and BLOWN the sky is the limit ...... and for that money I have a car I really like and a sweet looking ride with that being said I will be running my
3.5 pulley since I know the stock SAFE LIMIT of the 4.6 3v and will not listen
to others who think different.

So I have realized that this debate is pointless because both motors can be turned into BEASTS if you throw enough money at them.

The coyote engine deserves respect..

That being said I think the newer stand models are ugly from the back. The front looks sick! N I especially love the front end and headlights.
But I think the back looks butt ugly lol

Complete and epic fail. You can get a clean 2011 for less than that and then just bolts ons and boom 450whp with much more room to grow, better driveline, warranty probably still good or you can buy an extended one.

Yeah yeah 4.6 vs 5.0 I know. If you've already spent more than the cost of a Coyote and still don't have forged internals, you've missed the proverbial boat.

Actually, I shouldnt say the 05-09 rear ends are ugly but it's too flat for my style and just like the 10 plus rears better.

Don't get it twisted.....no one offered you a mod position.

This is what you were told via PM........
You are doing what you are complaining about. You are posting a rant thread in the tech section. You can't expect us to catch everything......we are human. We do what we can and sometimes it's not the easiest task. No one asked for your all knowing advice/guidance so don't expect special treatment for it. If you really want to help you could try volunteering to help mod.....just a suggestion.

"Try" is the key word here.
