Built honda hp?

So my friends nephew has this Honda. And he's one of those jackasses that thanks if u put an exhaust and a cold air intake with some led lights and fake carbon fiber that it makes it a super fast race car. And he told it and paid 5gs to a guy named Courtney green who builds Hondas and just said make it fast. He got it dynoed today and it only made 183 hp. Is it just me or did the guy take advantage of some 16 year old kid?

Eh Hondas are so light that a mid 200whp Civic/CRX/Del Sol can be quite dangerous. I have a buddy with an Integra Type R that he swapped a K20 into. Made around 230ishwhp and was running mid 12s at 5300ft elevation. However the one you're talking about isn't much of a threat

5000 dollars?! Haha wow. Hopefully he just lied about that to make people think his car is fast. Or maybe Vtech didn't kick in when he had it dynoed.

yeah he was one of those ricer kids....I respect any car that was built properly even Hondas. I just hate the stero typical Honda fan boy ricer.... But the guy had the car for over a year. My friends nephew was tired of people lafing at him so he toke the car to that...to me it sounds like that guy took his money and orderd cheap *** parts. And he still had to pay for a dyno and a tune...I think even re used the turbo he had on there

I don't understand the point of getting v tech....it's just a different cam that kicks In at higher rpms....so why not just get a really good racing cam for cheaper? Or am I missing something

Id like to see AFR readings on the car and also know what size injectors are in it.

Longblock was stock minus new headgasket and arp head studs. Had a skunk2 intake manifold, precision 525cc injectors, adjustable fpr, walbro 255lph fuel pump, msd ignition and the turbo kit.

It's hard for me to respect Hondas that have been built right. My little cousin has a 02 prelude that's built and turbo'ed and he can hardly drive it on the street because he has so much done to it. He's gutted the interior, and the suspension is stiff and bouncy. By the time he caged it and put in racing seats it just became a metal tin can with a motor that has to rev to 8,000+rpms to even be fast. His car runs low 12s with a DR set up and he is looking for slicks... Smh. He beat me in my 5.0 when it was bone stock, but his car has like 10k into it and is made for the track. Then again it was a 12.84 vs a 12.31. Really not hard at all for me to catch up and pass with just bolt ons. Hard to justify his car at that point. And I still have AC

Roughly $2 grand including tune. Car turned mid 12's on street tires. Had a quaife lsd in her with stock axles so didn't want to run her on sticky's. That 2grand covered just engine parts and tune. Clutch/flywheel, motor and trans mounts ect all nickel and dime up to a large number quick on those cars.

I've always wanted to say "Quaife" on a forum!

But seriously now.
I staged against this little S2000 in my 2006 GTO. All I could hear was this god awful whine/roar next to me...tree fell, and crack! He left me like I was floored in reverse. I ran a 12.40 @113, which was one of my better runs. He laid out a mid 9 in high 130s! Lol. Turbo was almost the size of his engine! Apparently he owns some big import speed shop in Orlando. Very impressive.
Most turbod Hondas I have seen run mid 13s. Most. And that turbo is shaving 4 secs off quarter times.

All it takes is $$$! And a bit more than 5Gs!
They are out there. But very few and far between. Many many more 9 sec foxes. And they can be made that fast easily for 5 G.
