Porting and polishing heads. How much? And what gains?

IV got an 05 gt and iv got all the bolt ons. So I was thinking about getting this done...how do I go about doing it? What gains can I expect? Is there any other parts I would need? Or do I just take my heads to a shop?

The only thing I can recommend you do if you have no knowledge on cylinder heads, is to just lightly rid of the casting marks within the ports to smooth them out. You prob don't have access to a flow bench to see before and after results so id leave the true blending, porting, grinding and milling to the pros. Thats just my .02

Just buy already ported heads. Leave the custom ports to turbo builds and race cars.

Agreed, if you've never ported before then buy ported heads. MHS has some nice ported 3V heads. Also this should be the last thing you do as far as mods. Even hotcams should be done before this.
