oil changes

Do you do it yourself or take it to a shop? All of my cars have been taken to the shop for them and spend around 30ish dollars for the "synthetic" blend. Recently the guy at the shop asked if I wanted to do the premium blend which I didn't know they even offered something different, it was about 70 dollars. My question is would it be better to do the "premium" blend or to start doing them myself? How much do you spend on the oil change? I've never done an oil change so unsure what exactly goes into them.

Mobil 1 full synthetic, motorcraft filter, cost me roughly 30-32$ bucks, change it out myself in about 15 minutes.

Honestly the synthetic blend should be just fine if you don't do any hard driving. That being said I spend about $70 for Royal Purple and a Motorcraft filter. I do all my maintenance myself when I have a free bay at work
