I'm so upset right now, i can't even explain it. Was on my way to work this morning, and a 4-pt buck came flying out from the tree line (which was literally only 5-10 ft from the road). I had absolutely 0 time to react, and nailed him, doing about 60 mph. I hate these animals so damn much. Would all the hunters out there go out and get some revenge for my poor car this week??? Praying my baby is ok, as I really dont know to much about body work.

Thanks man. Unfortunately its alot worse than it looks in the picture. Basically everything from that corner is gone. It also ruined the bracket for the brake master cylinder. Bumper and fender are obviously done, hood got rolled back (in the lower corner), grille is falling off, door is done. I couldn't even open the driver side door. It was jammed. Suspension is messed up. All the wiring in the front corner. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks man. Yeah im perfectly fine, and luckily no other cars around me at the time. Thanking god no one was injured. Yeah hood is rolled in the bottom corner. Not sure if that gets replaced or repaired. Hoping they will let me replace it with a badass cowl or something.

THAT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The car will be fine. You'll never know anything ever happened once it's repaired.

The ultimate revenge on that deer, besides it being dead, of course, would be to eat it!

Yummy roadkill...

Yeah for sure. Not really sure how that works though. The body shop i took it too is a very high end place. They do a ton of work on high end cars like ferrari, maserati, Porsche, etc. The GM there actually has a 2012 GT, and is a member of the Northern VA mustang club. So im confident they will take good care of her. Just praying the insurance company (Progressive) plays nice. I am a platinum member with them, have had 2 vehicles insured for 8 years, and have never made a claim before, so they better.

Its amazing what shops can do these days. Even with frame damage they can throw it on a digtial straightener and get it right back to spec. Might need a new K, probably new suspension on that side, new fender, new hood etc... all depends if Progressive wants to pay to fix it or just total it out. With it being a 2014 and worth what it is I can't see it being totaled but you never know. I'm not trying to be a downer but I've seen accidents that looked not nearly as bad wind up totaling the car. Conversely I've seen stuff that looked way worse and it wound up being a new front clip/fender/hood and insurance paid it out. I do think yours will be fixed from what I can see in those pics.

The important thing is you are ok and nobody else got hurt. And I agree I hate those goddam things, I wish the seasons were longer and more people hunted. We have enough issues with the activists though in NJ and this is the sort of thing that should happen to THEM. NJ had to fight them off to get a bear season opened up a few years ago because of overpopulation, it was that bad. YMMV in your state, I know the people down the street from my Parents have a big deep freezer and hunt year round. Cops all hunt year round at their place too lol. They own most of the farmland around that area.

Start shopping for upgrades bumper, hood, grille, ect. Since you feel you've got a reputable shop doing the work the only down side is the hit you're gonna take if you ever plan on trading it in.

Thanks for all the kind words and encourage guys. I'm definitely doing some shopping already. I want to be prepared once the estimates are done Monday and Tuesday. Thank GOD i have GAP protection incase they do total it. Trying to decide on a hood. Sucks that i just got my matte black supersnake graphics on as well.

Im worried because of the suspension damage. I have all aftermarket suspension parts, and im worried the insurance company wont replace them with like parts. I do however have receipts for every single part on that car, down to the oil filter.

If you do go with an aftermarket hood. Make sure it's a quality company with an actual person to speak with. I ordered my carbon fiber hood online through an eBay seller for VIS and the fitment was crap. I had gaps on both sides and they were willing to do nothing about it.

Hopefully your insurance will work with you on your suspension parts at the very least they give you the value of the oem parts which in most cases cost more than aftermarket. So you might be ok there.

Im really liking the cervani supersnake hood so far. I've heard great things about their fitment as well.
Good point about the suspension as well. OEM parts are very expensive.

To be totally honest, its not their fault you ordered a cheap ebay CF hood. I'd have sided with them as far as fit/finish. You didn't get an OEM part, doesn't fit right then oh well. Lol I've seen some of the ebay specials and how they fit... oof...

You will not go wrong with the Cervini's their fit/finish/quality is second to none. Most body shops who haven't dealt with them before are like "this isn't OEM?" when they get one of their pieces. I've got a Cervini's hood on mine and it fits like an OEM piece.

I could really go for some deer jerky, or deer chili right now myself. Hahaha

Reserved my rental. Gonna be cruising in style with a Nissan Versa for the next 3-4 weeks. One things for sure, my car will feel like an absolute rocket after driving this POS for awhile.

Good to know, not to mention they only go for $680. Im sure thats MUCH cheaper than an OEM GT hood.

I'd imagine it is. Definitely get an aftermarket hood like that and then pocket the difference if that's an option. They might just cut you a check for the damage estimate and whatever is left when done is yours.

Stalker

Cobra R

Ram Air

Can't go wrong with any of them. I'd rank them:

1- Ram air

2- Stalker

3- Cobra

Lol, its easy to spend other ppl's money but I really do love me some Cervinis. If I had an 05-09 I might very well turn her into Eleanor. Cervinis makes a whole body kit that almost clones it plus you do the Shelby rear lights and the retro fronts and its eerie how close you can get the S197 looking like a 67/68.

Stalker

Cobra R

I would rank them in that exact order as well. Thanks for pulling them all up for side by side comparison for me. Does Cervini make all those? Definitely want to go with a trusted name brand. Hopefully i can get the insurance company to play ball.

Well, they claimed oem fitment in the description. **** me for taking a sellers word on their product right? It doesn't matter, I was in contact with VIS and they said they'd help make it right. The only problem is, there'd still be some out of pocket expense for me and it really doesn't bother me that much. I just won't buy stuff like that on eBay again.

Im still wondering if the hood is repairable... It is rolled in at the bottom. Can that be fixed or do you think they will replace it? Again, i really dont know much about body work/repair. Heres the clearest pic i have of the hood damage.

Wow brother. Hate to hear it. And it's gunna suck being your Dailey driver and not having it. Been there and done that. But the good that will come out of it will be some goodies hopefully. I see you picked some good looking hoods. But my personal favorite and hope to be, soon to be hood. Is the cowl. Couple pictures of what it looks like on black. Also with a new grille. Thanks man. Yeah i do like them as well. Definitely a lot of good looking options as far as hoods good. Trying not to get ahead of myself before i hear from progressive on Tuesday. Apparently, they aren't the easiest people to deal with, especially with aftermarket, according to the body shop. The GM said he will do whatever it takes though to battle with them, so im trying to stay optimistic.

Yeah. Well if you have any problems tell them you know Flo personally. And that they don't want you contacting her. Lmao.
