SR Lowering Springs on American Muscle

Hey guys, new to the forums so I thought I would jump right in with a question.
American Muscle had a sale on the SR lowering springs for 05 and up GT and V6's for $99. Naturally I jumped for joy and bought them immediately. I noticed that they recommended that I buy upgraded strut mounts to go with them. I'm guessing the stock mounts aren't stiff enough to handle the added pressure, but my question I guess is has anyone used these springs, and if so did you get the upgraded mounts, adjustable camber bolts, etc.?
Also, I'm running a 2013 V6 Base.

I think they will only fit 2011+ of they have the upgrades strut mounts! Camber bolts are a good idea when lowering ur car to get the alignment back to specs! U might want to look into a panhard bar as well because when lowering it will shift ur rear end!

Yeah, that's what I saw when I was buying them, but then there were also people with 2011+ mustangs writing reviews saying these were all they bought. And in AM's "bolt on buildup" video they mention installing the SR springs, but nothing about the strut mounts.

From what I hear it's hard to reuse the stock mounts. They're very fragile. I'm sure u can reuse them but I would upgrade then for a better ride quality. Hopefully someone with 1st hand experience will chime in though.

I'm glad to hear you were able to take advantage of that amazing deal on SR Springs. I actually jumped on it myself as well! Oh2freshstang definitely pointed you in the right direction. It's recommended that you upgrade the Strut mounts and even the struts for the best possible ride. However, you can get away with just throwing the springs on if you're careful! When taking them off they are fragile but as long as they're not damaged you could re-install them. The ride quality won't be as good, compared to Springs, Struts and mounts but it will be lower and a lot better than stock!

I hope this helps. Hit me up if you have any questions or if you need some assistance in the near future!

Thanks for the advice guys, it was a real help. I'm gonna order the strut mounts and do the job right, I would hate to get through the whole installation and end up with a product I don't like.

That's awesome, I'm glad to hear you're doing everything right. I've cut a few corners in the past with my cars and I always regret it and end up putting her back under the knife to upgrade everything else!

Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance. You're going to love your new Suspension set up!

SR Lowering Springs on American Muscle

Hate to jack your thread but I seen Dan commenting and wondered what he thought about Eibach shocks and struts. My wife got me a set for Christmas from y'all and I really wanted the koni's.
