H pipe questions

My 04 v6 is bone stock and I'm looking into getting exhaust, true duals is too expensive right now and I'm thinking of getting an o/r h or x pipe with 2 pypes m80 mufflers. Is that possible with an h pipe? And how will it sound?

I thought it was a y pipe? So this means I could put 2 m80 mufflers on right now?

It is a y, open mouth insert foot. I wish I learned more about exhaust. Years ago I bought a Pipes duel exhaust kit witch has a x in it. The x is usually raspy/ European racer sound. It had a duel exhaust cut into the y. I can not really testify to how it sounded because the pipes were rusted.

Would you recommend getting an o/r h pipe with m80s? And would I be able to install cats later if needed

H pipe questions

The V6 comes stock with a Y pipe. H pipe will give you a very muscle car throaty sound I think you would be pretty happy. Just know it will never sound like a V8.

That's the same as true duals. Just have an exhaust shop hack the y pipe just behind the cats. Make 1 new tailpipe and insert mufflers of choice.

So I would run pipes from the cats all the way to the bumper with no midpipe or crossover right? How much do you think this would be if I brought the muffler shop mufflers?
