Any one with a bumper swap....

Need some help here. Did you buy the gt stone deflector (big plastic thing between the radiator and motor) or do you just go without it? I added a pic of it.

You reuse the same one that's on your car now.
No need to buy anything.

I was just trying to figure out if it was necessary. Apparently the thing is different on the boss 302s.

I used the same one that my v6 came with when I did my 2010 with the CS lower valence which is the same as the Boss it just has the Fog Lights in it. I even had the Boss Splitter on it.

Ok you guys are right. They are the same part it seems. At least on the fordparts.com site they are the same number for the v6, gt, and boss. Then why the heck wouldn't mine fit.

Different than what? I reused the one on my V6 when I swapped out to the GT bumper cover. I added the Boss lower valance and splitter, and the V6 part you have pictured is still working (installed). Its front lip slides underneath the valance.

You really want to keep it installed, as it keeps quite a bit of the road dirt, grime, and water from getting into the engine bay. Most likely helps with aerodynamics too.

I did not have a lift to put the car up on, but after posting these pics, I snapped pics of the wrong piece; you need the one further back (panel that drops down to get at the oil filter from underneath). I'll snap pics of that installed tonight and repost here.

Bucks that is the right piece. Can you get a shot of where it bolts up to the valance.

Sure. I got home late last night, so I did not jack up the car and crawl underneath...I'll do this tonight and post the shot(s) where the tiny screws mount it. It doesn't mount to the valance though, the screws still go into the body clips as they did before.

I got mine to fit. My body shop couldn't get it right and I had to help them line it up. It's really the same thing cause they ordered the GT one cause mine was cracked. Same exact thing.

Sorry I never got those pics posted. I have to jack the car up in order to get pics of the front, where the screws go in. It slides underneath the metal, then the back goes straight up.

I also did the GT mod on my 11 V6 from a 12 GT, the only thing I found with the V6 one on my car was it only used 4 screws to secure it and there were 6 holes, I just did not do the very end ones as there was no need.

You can also skip the OEM surround for grilles that incorporate the surround and grille in one piece.

Like the Saleen grille (you can find them on ebay) for about $199 and that is all you need, also I believe the 3dCarbon Eleanor style grille also can be used.
