A Few Stats - 2013 MCA
I just got my MCA certification from Ford. Mildly disappointed on the cost, but other wise love it. The interesting thing was the stats on the MCA production. While overall, the Sterling Grey was not at the top of the list, on the MCAs it accounted for 21% of all styles, 23% of the coupes. Even more of a surprise, only two black MCA cars were made during the whole year. 78% of all cars were automatics.
While 11% of all MCAs had the rear camera, the SG coupes had 14% with the camera. By now, I had about given up on my car being very unique. If I had gotten black, I would have had a one of a kind. But there is good news. One of the reasons I had to special order mine, was that I could not find any with the stone interior. In fact, only one was built with the stone cloth interior. Mine was one of only 19 with the stone leather interior. (half of one percent) And actually, I was responsible for two cars, because when mine came in, the dealer liked it so much, he ordered another one just like it, for his stock.
So if only 19 had the stone interior, the numbers would indicate that 15 had automatics, any then only two of those had the rear view camera, then I would have had a one off car if the dealer hadn't copied me. Statistics can be fun.
