Max horsepower

I'm just curious with simple mods like bolt ons and stuff like 8.8 and windstar swaps what's the Max hp we can get out of these little 3.8s and what mods/bolt ons will do it

Maybe like 250 idk I had one but sold it and moved up to a GT takes a lot if money to make a six move but hey if that's what you want go for it and don't look back man

I would think it's more 230 whp with full bolt ons. I'd say it'd be maybe 160/170 to the wheel, stock. But like you said. Takes a ton of money to get a six passed that.

I'm fine with 230 I've already got long tube headers I'm wanting a cam from super six motorsports what bolt ons would get me to that's me is a 1999 with a 2000 engine and tranny

275-278rwhp is the max ssm got out of the v6. 2000-2004 have 190 to the crank stock, 4.2s are around 200-205 stock.

No, that has a cam, head and block work, ect. No power adders though.

Here is what you are looking for.......................................* Ford V6 Mustang Dyno Graph Database *
The Windstar intake adds 7 hp. and 15 tq. You can verify this by looking up a 96-98 Windstar van. The only difference in the 2 vehicles is the intake. Compare stock hp. and tq.
