From Axleback to Catback exhaust

Hey everyone,
So it turns out I have an axle back exhaust on my car. Now I know with a catback setup you will be able to gain hp but not with an axle back setup. Is that simply because of a resonator delete that flow is opened up more? If its not a resonator then what should i do to complete the cutback setup of my exhaust? I can't find anywhere to just buy the cat to axle piping..

I also intend to get this set up for the car once iv gotten enough money to do so. MST-CY78WC Mustang ARH Long Tube Headers 1-7/8" With Catted X-Pipe 3" Stainless Steel With Coarse Thread Header Bolts GT 2011-2014 | CJ Pony Parts

Just looking for some advice! Thanks
