Daytime Running Lights

In 2007 the smart junction box on my 2006 GT fried. The dealer replaced the box with and ever since I have had daytime running lights. I can't stand them. Does anyone know how to disable the setting. I have been told that the dealer has to access the DTRL options via the smart junction box, but I haven't had any luck asking dealers thus far. Thank you.

Has anyone had a similar issue? My dealer has asked Ford tech multiple times regarding this issue and can't seem to find a way to disengage the daytime running lamps. I guess a similar question would be "does anyone with a 2007 know how to turn off their DTRL?"
