Congrats. I don't understand why you are paying someone to install it though.... Literally one of the easiest mods to do.

+1 my car is lowered and I still bet I could even do it without it jacked up. I have switched mine numerous times in a matter of 10 mins

Yeah installing an axleback isn't worth taking to the shop. Me and a friend did mine in like 30 minutes total, which includes getting the tips aligned correctly in the valance. But congrats! Say bye bye to whatever gas mileage you were getting.

Dad wouldn't let me install it, I know it's very easy... But we have been waiting an hour and a half, service is very busy today.

Lol. Shop is playing you thats why. If they charge you anymore than 30 min labor for that you got ripped. (even then, you still got ripped off) With air tools and a lift, i could do that in 10 min.

This is bullsh*t, been waiting 2 hours. Yeah they had some other cars to work on, but the guy I asked 30 minutes ago said they were putting the exhaust on then. I'm so pissed.

Good luck finding a a CAI for 180 bucks but....OMG, that's outrageous to install two axle backs. That's a maximum 1 hour job on a lift.

More reasons I teach kids to do it themselves.

Your dad should have helped you research the install online and then helped you do it. My 5 yr old helped me install my gt500s and my Boss manifold. That is a bonding experience that I never got to experience with my bum of a father. It is what it is......enjoy the new exhaust,I like the RTR's a lot!

He wanted the dealer to do it, so we could say that they did the install in case anything happens, he knew I could have done it.

I would have no problem paying if the fee wasn't ridiculous, and if I had a job, and I didn't want the dealer installation to begin with.

Then tell your dad no you don't want then to install it. Never heard of a dad that makes a child pay for something that he doesn't want to do

Wait wait wait. How'd you afford all this stuff without a job? I don't mean any disrespect, but if your dad bought the exhausts, he can do whatever he'd like with them, ya know? Still, making YOU pay for it after he decided to waste money....

He gets money for having good grades from his parents and Christmas/birthday gifts. It's a big circle of his parents paying. I wouldn't complain either way, but then who knows ; I never had that sheltered of a childhood. Whatever it's just 180$. Sounds to me like you be getting money for remembering to make your bed tomorrow .

Now, go post a video already.

If the car is under his dad's name, then he has every right to wish for a professional to do it. $180 is a bloody rip off but that's the blanket u have over u just to assure dad that part of his investment won't go to crap.. Can't wait to hear it!!

I'd normally agree with that kind of statement, but let's be honest here; it's an axle back. If you can count the number of bolts needed to be removed and re tightened on your fingers, you probably don't need to see a professional. I'd wager that even an axle back isn't above the limits on an inexperienced wrench hand. You just need to take your time and follow the instructions. You can't make any huge mistakes with an axle back install.

Paying a professionally licensed garage to have parts installed on a brand new car is not mind boggling and the right thing to do sometimes... give the kid a break ...I was looking at those RtR's myself I wonder how they sound with an x pipe and resonator delete ...congrats Mustangz..
