Pacesetter Longtubes

Have to be the worst fitment, worst quality , worst headers on the market do not get them if you have a 99-01 cobra , 03-04 cobra 03-04 Mach 1 ..

They are horrible , a huge headache, and a big set back.

Just like my pypes O/R x.
Rubs right up on my frame. Gonna go to the exhaust shop and have a ding put in it or header rap to keep from having that hollow/rubbing sound every time I hit a bump or the engine torques.

Put pacesetter on a friends 98, and those were a SoB to install. Those get very close to rubbing as well.

20 years ago Pacesetter was a "pacesetter" in aftermarket exhaust systems, however over the last 15 I have had at best 50/50 experience with their products.

I know several people (including me) who bought their Monza catback for the early Miatas only to have it start to rattle after less than 5k miles because of broken internal welds...

The nice thing about the SLP headers is that they fit great, are stainless and come with a ceramic coating from the factory that is worth two ****s. Their collector hookup is also way better than the ball/socket setup on most.

Other good brands are Kooks and stainless works.
I'll only put SLP, kooks or stainless on my cobra

The Kooks do not come with any coating and are $300 more IIRC. The fit and quality of Kooks is second to none though. Stainless works is awesome too.

Like I said I feel that SLP is just the best overall deal having the coating and the slip fit vs the ball/socket.
