Have you checked the fuel inlet? Did this happen right after you filled up? Please provide more info.

It happened the morning after I put $10 of gas at one of those cheap corner stores bc nothing else was around. After I put the gas in as I was removing the nozzle from my car I noticed that the nozzle was still dripping and it got all over my side bumper. The next day the warning came on and I took it to auto zone it gave me code p0442 and told me it's the 1st time they every heard of it since the car don't come with a fuel. Then I tried running the system check on the car but it went straight to the check fuel fill inlet but nothing looked out of the ordinary since every thing is pretty covered up. So next I decided to take off the negative terminal before taking it to the dealership. It was off not even 30 seconds when I connected back on again and the warning went away just like that.

Should still be under warranty if its a 2013. Sucks but it might be time to take it to the dealer. Often they will give you a free dealer rental to tool around in for warranty issues.

The 2011 to 2014's come with a gas capless fuel system. There is a flap that seals when the fuel nozzle is removed. It sounds like this fuel neck is faulty. It will be covered under warranty.

Never over fill (stop fueling when the gas pump stops; don't keep squeazing the handle to top off), and never jiggle the fuel handle when removing to help prevent this fuel neck from becoming damaged.
