Thinking of buying a turbo?

I have a 2000 v6 Mustang, I have cold air intake, but I'm researching..is there any other way I can spit out more power before I invest in a turbo? What do I need to do first before getting one? Will it tear up my car in any way?

Boost can always tear up the car. Just depends on how hard you push the car, and how much boost you run. Mileage and condition will also have an effect on this. A lot of factors come into play when going boosted, but rest assured, there are ways to safely boost your car.

Well I'm trying to get my car ready so it won't tear up, I just maybe need a list of things to get ready to install the turbo?

Are you planning on building your own or buying a complete turbo kit?

Port and polish you upper and lower intakes, and the heads plus bigger valves. You'll need forged internals (pistons, rods, crank), different cam, stronger springs, a solid tune, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump... its a big project

If you are going to run low boost 6-8psi you would only need larger fuel pump, larger injectors and a dyno tune. If you are planning to run higher boost 10-14psi I would recommend forged internals like ProjectTurboV6 said. But porting your heads and intake and buying a different cam will allow you to produce more hp per psi of boost but are not essential for engine longevity.
