Exhaust question

I'm wanting the magnaflow competition axlebacks for my 2013 v6. I noticed on American muscle they have them, but only for the 11-12 and it says it will not fit the 2013. On latemodelrestoration.com they have the exhaust for 11-14. It looks exactly the same. Will they work on the 2013 or did late model restoration just mark them as that.

They fit since its the same exhaust piping, but since the bumper was changed in '13 there might be issue with the exhaust tip contacting the bumper, which can actually melt that part of the bumper.

I'm looking at different options, but I liked the magnaflow.

One exhaust that would be a good consideration is the RTR Axleback, they just started making it for the V6, it's close to a cross between the magnaflow competition, and the street AB combined. The RTR is made by Magnaflow.

ironsurvivor,

I'm almost positive the axle back exhaust fitments for 11-14 are exactly the same. At least for single tip axle backs, the duals my be a tighter fit. Regardless, I'd like to take the guess work out and clarify this with Magnaflow tomorrow for you! If the exhaust does indeed fit, we need to correct the site ASAP, to prevent confusion in the future. Anyways, thanks for pointing this out! I'm surprised I haven't noticed this in the past.

What other axle backs were you looking at? Magnaflow & Borla have always been my top picks, but Corsa makes a killer setup too!

Shane

Borla s types are at the top followed by the magnaflow. I'm reading about the corsa as well. Thanks for wanting to get that sorted out!

Take at all of them. They're all leaders in the exhaust industry and stand by their parts, as we do too. I know you'll be happy with one of the three.

I ended up talking to our Exhaust Purchaser and he's going to contact Magnaflow for me. I should have an answer by tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delay!

Hey ironsurvivor,

It turns out we were right about the Magnaflow fitment. It does fit all 11-14 v6 Mustangs. I'm having our site adjusted to reflect this too. Thanks for your assistance!

Me too man! Who knows how many other 13-14 v6 owners were turned away because they thought it wouldn't fit. That's definitely a problem we'll be taking care of because of your help.

Thanks again!
